Breakfast was superb as i had the kippers and these were the biggest kippers i have ever had, beautifully cooked. Orange juice was nice and plentiful.

not a problem for me but my partner has back issues - the bed was very soft ;-) Hardly a criticism!

The staff we're really friendly and helpful, the food was excellent - from breakfast to a delicious evening meal, lovely location and atmosphere, and a beautiful beach 3mins walk from the hotel. Excellent service and I would highly recommend The Lodge to anyone visiting the area.

Last minute booking and never stayed there before. Exceeded expectations all round. Staff were REALLY friendly, everything was really clean. Room was lovely. The bar had a lovely vibe at night. The food in the restaurant was awesome. Will be back soon. Thank so much!

The bar area was very busy with an awful lot of dogs. It was wet when we arrived, and all you could smell was dogs and dog owners put their dogs on seats! Not the best environment tbh.

We would have liked a slightly bigger room away from the road. Breakfast was at time suffering from slow service.

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. Our room was pleasant though not spacious and being on the roadside we did occasionally notice passing traffic. Both the shower and the bed were excellent.

Couldn't fault anything, really lovely bar and hotel.

My first stay at The Lodge and it was exceptional. From the very polite welcome at reception to the beautifully decorated room. Attention to detail has clearly been given in all areas of the property. The room was immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed. A modern fitted bathroom and plenty of towels. Ample parking on site and a lovely bar and dining area with big, cozy seating. I will definitely be returning!

Rainfall shower in the bathroom was very low pressure and had difficulty washing shampoo/ conditioner out of hair.

Staff were excellent, very welcoming. The room was modern and very clean- hard to fault our stay.

If I had to pick anything negative, I guess a curtain would be of benefit to totally block the street lighting out - there were wooden blinds which blocked 95% of the street light outside.

The room was comfortable and immaculate. The staff members were very friendly and helpful (staff even got our sense of humour - sort've!). Location was also perfect. Had a wonderful stay here at The Lodge and I look forward to coming back soon

Absolutely nothing!

Just everything it was fabulous , I have a back issue so room we had was all on one level no stairs and it had a shower and a separate bath, staff were so great my daughter has a dairy and gluten allergy and they were fantastic had a menu ready with what she could and could not have, they also went to the shop for dairy free margarine next day so she could have with her breakfast and gluten free toast, so helpful friendly and caring , and there attention to detail was great, it was a birthday treat for my daughter and this hotel made our day it was a lovely lovely stay, will definitely be back,

Friendly courteous staff made you feel very welcome. Nothing too much trouble such as early check-in after 6 hours drive. Love roast lunch and terrific breakfast spread. Good drinks selection, too. All round good value and a short stroll to the beach and 20 mins to Hunny. Great!

This place just hits the market right. Not too formal and not too casual. Found the atmosphere very relaxing and loved that they are by the seaside pooch friendly, even though I'd left mine at home in this occasion. Staff so hard working but still efficient and polite ... It has very warm and welcoming public and private areas and a good bar .

Nothing. Our room faced the main road, but this didn’t cause us major problems overnight.
