Close to Tooting Broadway Undergrd. station. Room was as quiet as could be given location over a pub and alongside Mitcham Rd. we stayed there previously and would stay again. Ideal to see our grown-up child.

The noise was terrible from the street.They need better double glazing for the windows.And darker curtains as there was a street light opposite that shone through.Did,nt get much sleep.

Warwick the Barman was exceptional.Very helpful.We were in London for a Funeral and he let us and the family have the back room for our wake.

Radiator thermostatic valve broken, radiator blasting away TOO HOT. Opened all the windows, but as its on the high street, very noisy. Shower head rail not fixed properly (fell off during shower) and toilet seat loose.. very big step up the shower cubicle.

Big tea cups. Comfy bed (even though a camp bed). Nice bathroom, good shower except..... (see negs) Free car parking. Pleasant woman behind the bar who checked me in.

Was fine for the price, but on a more recent visit was refused entry as it was 11:30pm. There was someone on the premises but he refused to give me the room key. In any normal hotel this would be very strange behaviour. I was able to go back into London and sleep in my office, but I dread to think how a vulnerable person delayed while traveling would manage this. There are plenty cheaper alternatives nearby so they've lost a regular customer due to this one irresponsible man unfortunately.

The listing didn’t promise frills, and there aren’t any, so I can’t criticise it for not being fancier than it is. I think I more or less got what I expected, so I don’t want to be overly critical. That said, there are a few simple and cheap upgrades that the owners could probably make. The communal WC could do with an overhaul, it was poky and hard to get into as the door almost touched the toilet when you open it. The WC room was not as clean as it should have been, with quite thick dust on the basin edge and tiles, no paper towels and a filthy light pull. Overall the decor, furnishings etc are very very tired and faded, with thin carpets and curtains. The shower cubicle was clean but stained. The bedroom door banged every time someone walked down the corridor. There was a kettle but it wouldn’t fit under the tap in the room’s washbasin- I could have filled it using the teacup but couldn’t be bothered with the faff.

The staff member who checked me in was very pleasant. The location was handy for the Northern line. The bed was comfy. The bed linen, towels and room were clean. Easy to let yourself in after the pub has shut using a door with a code lock. There’s a communal bookcase if you want to borrow a reading book. I needed a safe place to sleep and the room fit the bill.

Staff were a bit lacklustre and didn’t really explain things like how to leave on booking out and importantly luckily I got back before pub closed as noticed on leaving a code which was not provided was require to enter if after pub closing Room smelt of stale smoke even though signs everywhere stating no smoking Damp and mould under window Shower doors not working properly in room Very small not efficient electric radiator in room just as well not as cold as has been recently

The main carpet downstairs was a bit grubby, but got better the higher you got!

Easy to find. The room itself was clean and tidy, shower and bathroom modern and efficient. TV worked. Radiator controls worked! Just as well as it was very warm!!

The narrow stairwells, the smell of damp and spilt drinks in the carpets, the toilet was terrible, and the room was cramped and poorly laid out with a tiny shower crammed next to the bed.
