Bar staff. Also not very good. In the evening we waited ages to be served. My husband ordered drinks from the bar including 2 double baileys with ice, the measures were obviously wrong and it wasn’t baileys it was another brand. The waiter cleared away an unfinished drink from our table, when we asked for it back he shrugged and said we didn’t complain when he took it. We were having a conversation and didn’t notice immediately it had gone! Extremely poor service.

It was ok. Staff were few and far between. Service not great did not clear table before they brought main course. I had to ask the waitress to do this. Her response was quite short!

The breakfast was terrible for the price. The pastries were over cooked and cold and there was no Jam provided for the toast and pastries. No hairdryer is supplied, I think there should be one as standard.

Whilst all staff were welcoming and hospitable, the stay was let down badly by the organisation if the bar staff. Impossible to get a post meal drink. Pillows were terrible.

Overall a very positive experience. Breakfast staff are excellent. Hot options delivered quickly. Very cool dining space. Good good options. Spa is excellent Very comfy beds Quiet rooms requested and they were quiet.

Heating in room difficult to adjust, and was initially rather cold (with the high ceiling).

Clean, plenty of character, good location, convenient parking (if one had booked a space in advance, and paid for it, as we had done).

Our morning waitress (lovely Asian lady) wasn’t quite on the ball. I asked for scrambled eggs on day 1 and got fried eggs. Didn’t say anything as thought I’d have the scrambled on day 2 which I did - different waitress. She was excellent. Day 2 had 2 different types of bread. Day 1 didn’t, just white. Minor points as all round it was good. Shame the fridge in the room doesn’t work. If any way HdV can get those working it would enhance guest experience.

The restaurant was excellent. Our evening waitress was brilliant and a credit to you. The food was amazing too. Great choice very well presented. Cocktails were great, reception staff were really helpful and facilitated an early check-in for me.

Central, lovely building, nice room - quite small for a ‘bigger’ room. Beautiful linen, nice touches - bath cube for example. Quiet - asked for a quiet room and actually got one. Fridge not working- they are changing them, offered ice bucket. Pool nice , bit cold. Service amazing, quietly efficient. The opposite of hotel indigo. Breakfast was also superb. We are looking forward to coming again soon.

TV channels were a bit lacking (no football or sports?!). The restaurant was fully booked, insane how busy it was!. WiFi was weak, kept dropping. Would have liked slippers/sleeping masks/ ear plugs as well (sound insulation was a bit lacking )

The bed was very comfy. The toilet facilities were clean and lovely as well.

I think the only thing I didn’t like was the fact that I didn’t have a proper wardrobe in my room.

Our room was very dusty, on surfaces and cornering or the room. Could hear the road traffic with windows closed so noisier than wr are used to. Couldn't get any cold water from the shower/bath so daughter couldn't use. Handle fell off of tap too. *did mention this to staff on check out.

Good location for the Quay and city centre. Felt more luxurious than alternatives in the same area. Comfortable beds, nice facilities. Pool was a nice touch but again needs a *really* good clean.
