We were very well looked after here, with the family going out of their way to be helpful. The house itself is fascinating, with lots of original features preserved, while being perfectly comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were excellent, including delicious fresh local strawberries! Bat lovers will enjoy the opportunity to watch the bats fly out into the courtyard at dusk. The Tudor attic is home to grey long-eared bats. This is a family run Band B with true character, set in a countryside location with lots of National Trust properties to see locally.

Nice and quirky place, easy to find, comfortable, clean, no issues what so ever, staff Fleur and Will were exceptional and went out of their way to make everything available to us . We arrived late and Fleur offered us dinner. The afternoon tea is a recommend. Everything is home made ! Will was the chef of the breakfast and he is exceptional and very friendly. The fresh pain au chocolate every morning was a must. If we was ever to come back defo stay there again.

Getting out here via public transport isn't the easiest - though we were able to get a cab there from Taunton for £25 (cab back was £40 - I guess to cover driving out). Ideally you'd have a car.

We went to Manor House for my mom's birthday for a couple days in the countryside. It's a lovely place (lots of nice walks nearby), with a beautiful historic house and super kind hosts - and some very sweet cats and dog. Will went above and beyond to make our stay great, going out of his way to drive us to and from the local pub for dinner (the one in the village was closed) on a dark and rainy night. Couldn't have asked for more!

We had a lovely stay at The Manor House. Our room, the bathroom and dining area was very clean and comfortable beds. Will was very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice choice of cereals and condiments for toast at breakfast The satnav took us straight there. A really beautiful building and location. Recommended :)

Fluer welcomed us on arrival and helped us find a local pub for dinner as we arrived far later than expected - very much appreciated. The breakfast consisted of fruit and cereals with an option of chocolate or plain croissant, home made jams, coffee or many varieties of tea and herbal teas with local apple juice. Will was attentive to all our needs over breakfast. The bed very comfortable with a private bathroom off the passage, new and contemporary. The Manor House is beautiful and very quiet - perfect for a weekend base.
