Couldn’t get the water hot in our shower but it was hot in the bath and tap. We mentioned this on departure , has never happed before and we have stayed with you many times

There wasn't really anything we disliked. Had a bit of a bad experience due to a coupl2 in a neighbouring room. Shouting, arguing and screaming but that wasn't anything to do with the property

Loved the bar and restaurant area. The decor throughout especially the rooms is clean and modern. The food looked lovely and wished we had ate there.

It's a little out of town that's why it's cheap. Nothing else.

Clean, great bed and shower. Real actual hairdryer. Good TV. It was like they designed somewhere they would want to stay themselves. Based on actual human needs. No annoying noises, good curtains. Choice of pillow types. We will be back.

Our room was at the front with the road outside. The traffic noise was bad after 6.30 in the morning. The room would have been better with double glazing.

The only thing need to improve it should have a chair to watch the TV rather than lying down on the bed.

The room was very nice as I couldn't believe it and felt so calm with purple light around the wall, big photo of Scarborough and there is pub as well (which I didn't use) as I brought my own food. Car park is big and lovely area.

Nothing very happy

Excellent room. Very good breakfast and service room was very clean. We stayed for 6nights all the staff gave excellent service. We intend to go again later in the year.We will recommend to all are family and friends

The bathroom was a bit cramped.

Our room was very nice, clean and the bed was nice and comfy. We had tea and coffee facilities. The Staff were friendly and we liked our cooked breakfast. We definitely would stay at the Mayfield again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like as a suggestion maybe a small selection of pastries for continental option

Breakfast was lovely local butchers used good quality food staff very helpful the place was located in a lovely village with great access to Scarborough not too far from Whitby and York flamingo land trains lots of lovely villages close by as well

A massive gap under the bedroom door was very off-putting.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, we were having issues with TV connecting to the internet, they came to the room as soon as they could and sorted this out, along with managing to fit us in for our evening meal even though they were busy.

The wardrobe/hanging space in our room was a bit tight, but thats only a minor moan.

Everything, the staff were always very polite, chatty and friendly, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it. But the stand out thing was how clean everything was.

Pricey Too few staff for key jobs at times Road noise & noise from barrels being changed.

Both my husband and myself found the pillows a little flat. We asked for others and sadly there were no options. Our room was on the front and a light straight outside the window lighting up the pub sign did keep me personally awake as I’m a light sleeper. However it did not bother my husband at all. It was a shame our dog could not stay with us in the room as down in the bar it was very very dog friendly.

It holds childhood memories for myself. The rooms are spacious, amazingly clean and oh my word the bathroom was fabulous. Good facilities in the way of coffee etc although my husband did say he missed the hot chocolate Plenty of plug socket and coat hangers. We especially loved the addition of an unexpected fridge in the room. Fantastic breakfast with good service and lovely staff in the bar.
