Knowing it was a pub hotel, I should have checked if there were any events happening as there was a karaoke night on the Friday. It wasn’t overly loud and finished at 12.

Dirty in out of way places in room, ie sills of window frames/ behind door. Had a cold shower as hot water didn't seem to be coming through.

Managed to check in early. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good. We had lots of variety for breakfast choice and the option to add a cooked breakfast for no additional cost. The location was good, with shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Nothing to dislike if you know what's to be expected. Carpets and furniture dated. Shower pressure/temperature not great

It was comfortable and clean. The rooms were above a sports bar which had a good atmosphere and was handy for drinks at the start and end of the night. We were a group of 11. We had 5 rooms. Most of us had a good view, all of us were happy with the one night stay. The beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great.

Hand rail hanging off bathroom wall. No proper door on the bathroom, just a curtain. Small single bed thin duvet. Carpet was soiled and unhoovered.

The room was called Mountain View - But in the morning I saw just the tip of a summit if I looked far to the left! The room overlooked a row of houses which were quite close but there was no net curtain and means of not being observed from the houses.

Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to help. The room was quiet.

Had to order the breakfast before 11pm the previous night - I might have changed my mind and ordered something different but that wasn't an option. The TV signal was very poor. I suspect something to do with the dreadful weather, but there was essentially no television available. For what you got I thought it quite expensive. I have stayed at other hotels in the area, charging about the same rate, but with much more options of breakfast choice, and more up to date rooms and better facilities. The landings and decor are all a bit shabby and the bar is not somewhere I would wish to spend an evening nor would I want to eat there.

Exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows I slept really well. room was basic, but clean and spacious. Tea making facilities were basic but OK. Lacking biscuits and any choice of teas ... just basic tea bags, no fruit teas or Earl Grey for example. Bring your own if you don't fancy ordinary tea and coffee. Bathroom small but OK, with complimentary soap, shower gel and shampoo. Ample clean towels. Good breakfast - not a lot of choice, but well cooked fresh for me when I arrived in the dining room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dog was allowed in the bedroom - I didn't try to take him into the dining room, but suspect it would have been OK. WIFI signal OK but insecure.
