Our room was up quite a few flights of stairs in the main building probably best to specify a ground or first floor room next time.

Clean and well equipped room, friendly staff , good selection for breakfast and an excellent location 5 minutes walk into Sudbury Town Centre.

The bar staff were rude and bar shut at 10:45 on a Saturday night wouldn’t give residents a drink considering we paid £900 in the restaurant wasn’t impressed

The shower pressure in our room was really poor so wasn’t an enjoyable experience with the hot weather and not having enough water.

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, location of the hotel and cleanliness.

When we arrived we found that we had been allocated a single room by mistake and the only double they had was in the cottage by the car park which was not an ideal location as you have to go across the road to go into the hotel and if that door is not open you have to walk round to the front which in bad weather is not good. We also feel that the dinner in the restaurant is not as good as it was on our pre covid visits and next time we would go out to dinner

The hotel is in a good location and we chose it because we have been there before., lovely walks and nice terrace to sit for a drink overlooking the river etc. Good breakfast served and nice friendly staff

I really can't think of anything. I've stayed in this hotel 2 or 3 times a year for the past 3 years. I wouldn't do so if there was something about it that I didn't like.

Ideal location for a dog-friendly hotel. It's adjacent to Sudbury Water Meadows, a vast expanse of common land. The friendly and welcoming bar has in it the original water wheel still working, which makes quite a feature. Good range of food served throughout the day from breakfast, through brunch and evening meal. Dogs are not allowed in restaurant but staff are happy to serve my breakfast in the bar area so I could keep my dog with me.

Annex room in cottage felt shabby. Cigarette ends and rubbish around the doorway. Bedding was a little grey rather than white. Just felt not very well looked after.

Check in staff were great. Lovely location where swans were nesting just below the terrace. We were there for a family party and the food was very good.

Possibly disabled access could be better. A lift would undoubtedly be an asset for those unable to manage stairs.

The breakfast was tasty and ample. The room was comfortable with an attractive view. The location of the hotel is ideal for access to shops, yet has the feel of being in a more countryside setting.

Great place,and the housekeeping team are fab. Perhaps there needs to be a little more attention to detail and, less "guys" and more of folks, you,they, mr&Mrs used by the staff team when speaking with guests who are ultimately paying for some form of service perhaps?
