Bed was rock hard. Noone told us when breakfast was. Couldn't find the hairdryer. The milk portions turned our coffee gloupy, think they were off or out of date.

Mattress nearest the wall was rather uncomfortable. Would have preferred double bed but there wasn't one available when we booked.

Breakfast time was a little late (10-11) as we are early risers, no soap, TV was a pain to work as the signal was terrible and there was no Netflix like stated on the booking ad. Check in and out wasn't the easiest as no proper instructions given.

The room was spacious, beds comfortable, food was excellent and great value for money. I would definitely recommend trying the restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were friendly and the location was great for what we had lined up.

The rooms were clean but was a bit tired could do with a spruce Would of liked to of been able to go in the bar rather than just the restaurant

Breakfast was being served from 10.00 am too late for us we were told the breakfast included was a box of cereals or they could cook one . So we left and ate somewhere else.

Check in/out was self service, never anyone around. Room was too hot even though heating was off but couldn't have window open due to road noise.

Room was very spacious and clean. Restaurant food in the evening was excellent, but breakfast not so good. All great value for money though.

The thermostat on a radiator in our room was broken, so it was a little bit warmer that we would have liked. Also we didn't appreciate when we booked that the bar and restaurant closed at 20:00hrs on a Sunday - luckily we had already had an excellent late lunch at Adriano's!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms very spacious, well equipped and were in a very good state of repair. In the morning we were served a superb freshly cooked full English breakfast, which really set us up for the journey home.

The room was far far too hot , tried to turn down the radiators but it didn't make much difference , it was like a sauna Also only restaurant open , not the bar downstairs, we only wanted drinks so would have been good if had a bar area

downstairs bar was closed which meant singer had to sing in restaurant and only place to have drink was in restaurant which was crowded.

The room was quite hot during the night as we had no control over the heating, and we could have done with another couple of pillows but that was just us, we mentioned these things to the staff in the morning and they were very apologetic and said if we had mentioned it at the time they would have done something for us. But this is not a complaint and we will definitely be staying again

The room was excellent, very clean, nice large room, great bathroom with nice big shower. Nice soft comfortable bed. We went for dinner in the restaurant and the food was good, great value for money.

We stayed a night at a very quiet time of year, we thought the hotel was closed. Not a bad point, just something to show that the hotel was open for business would benefit travellers.

The hotel was very close to the Beamish Museum and handy to connect to Durham. The attached restaurant had a large range of dishes to select from, food was very well priced with superb flavour. Fantastic breakfast too.
