There weren't any vegetarian food options for dinner, which meant I had to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, there was a group of people that were in the rooms down the hall from me who stayed up very late and made a lot of noise. I don't usually mind, but i had to be up early in the morning for a training course. The bed was not comfortable at all, i could feel the springs and subsequently did not get a very good night's sleep.

The staff were incredibly friendly and as a solo female, made me feel very welcomed. The bar was a cosy area and boasted a lot of good liquor options considering its size. The coffee bar had lots of seating and had a lovely few of the sea.

A bit shabby in places around the communal areas. Pillows we so flat they were hardly worth having which was a shame as the bed was very comfortable

Hot water needs looking at, also the mattress either needed a topper or needs to be changed as it wasn't to comfy.

Noise. Bingo was on and we did not sleep well at all. We weee told about it at check in but were told as we were staying the other side to boozy bingo we shouldn’t hear anything . It was awful. Slamming doors screaming shouting nearly all night

The lift was out of order. The receptionist carried my bag up for me as I find it hard to use the stairs.

The staff were very chatty and gave me as much time as I wanted as I was on my own. Breakfast was lovely and perfect cup of twa.

The room I got was very small, but enough for one person or for a couple with not much luggage. There’s no electric outlet near the bed.

The staff looked always happy and welcoming. The location is very convenient, few blocks away from the Barry train station and in an area with restaurants.

The shower was cold on the Sunday morning. Apart from that, no complaints.

Comfortable room at the back of the hotel. The hotel is at the top of a hill with a nice view from the rooms at the front, and convenient for Barry town centre and Barry railway station. There are noisy disco events downstairs at weekends, but my room was at the back and I was not disturbed at all. Staff were friendly.

There was no shower gel in the container in the shower. There was very thin pillows one each, but when we asked three separate times we were given extra pillows just before we rested our heads.

First Rate hotel for the budget spender, room was adequate warm and comfortable. Wi-Fi was excellent staff couldn't do enough for you.

We had to ask for a bath mat and extra pillows but this was remedied very quickly! We were above the restaurant and music was put on early and till late. No hot water in the afternoon
