The bedroom decor was a little dated, but I did anticipate the traditional style so not too surprised.

The bar, lounge & terrace were lovely spaces to relax. The breakfast spread was ideal - lots of choice! Bathroom was modern, stylish & spacious.

There were a few cosmetic imperfections. However, broken bedside light fittings and loose wall socket as well as broken light fittings elsewhere, weren't enough to spoil the trip.

Helpful correspondence from the hotel prior to arrival. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The continental buffet breakfast was adequate despite being limited for vegan diets (soya milk and vegan margarine were available). The location was great (very close to Sefton Park) with the 80/80A & 75 buses getting us to and from town easily and quickly. 15-20 mins walk to good selection of eateries and bars on Lark Lane or Smithdown Rd.

A good location just 10 mins from the city centre, and just a brief walk to Sefton Park.

It could have done with a tidy-up outside (car park was a bit weedy) and the bathroom needed another shelf for towels and a place in the shower unit for the soap etc.

The Hotel was value for money, a nice clean room with a modern walk-in shower, and a good choice at breakfast.

Looks a bit dated from the outside but lovely once you get inside.

The free parking was a great plus and the location was excellent for public transport into the city or even a walk into Sefton park or Lark lane.

Breakfast was very good along with the whole experience. Room was on the small side but sufficient for our needs. Easy access to the Dock Area either by car or bus. Location was close to Sefton Park.

I guess if i was trying to think of something, its better when you're given 2 keys if you've put that 2 adults are staying. Fair play it was me and my son, but if i stay somewhere with my wife sometimes **** happens.

The lady on reception when I arrived was very pleasant and helpful, the room was nice, no criticisms at all.

There was an intermittent problem with the hot water in one room (but worked absolutely fine in the other room that our group had).

Nice big bright room, very clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating- we were able to check in early as our rooms were ready. Breakfast was substantial with a good range of items.

Only one pillow per person. Had they been of good quality would possibly have been sufficient, but they were not and offered little support.

We would have like an extra pillow each.

Our room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable . The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and friendly service. The location was perfect for visiting the city as it was quiet but had a regular bus service with a bus stop right outside the hotel. Parking was free and safe.

The outside appearance of the hotel was untidy and shabby,it looked like arriving at Fawlty Towers. The Room was clean and tidy and comfortable however it was really old looking and tired and needs updating urgently, there was a few damages in the room, cracked window glass, bathroom taps missing from top of the taps, But the Room was clean and tidy.

Free parking for the duration of stay. Bus stop directly outside hotel for Liverpool city centre, also it is walkable from hotel to city centre.

I still don't think £100 a night is a reasonable charge for this place. The included breakfast is continental and of poor quality. The lighting in the room is very dim, meaning that with all lights on, it still has a very dingy feel to it. Coupled with the wallpaper peeling off the walls and the worn rug at the foot of the bed, it certainly didn't have the classic vibe we were expecting.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you to central Liverpool in around 10-15 minutes (for £2) Lovely white fluffy towels were provided.
