How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The mattress in the main bedroom was not quite up to the same level of quality as the rest of the cottage - I could feel lots of springs! Bedding was gorgeous. Apart from that no faults to be found.
Cosy and well equipped! Great location and communication.

Stunning scenery, fantastic location for walks, beautiful quiet setting, beautiful grounds, snug but perfect little cottage (we stayed in Usk Cottage). Place had everything you needed for a perfect getaway. The information pack provided by Julia was brilliant. Gave you loads of details about the area, places to eat and drink, walking trails etc - they really have thought of everything - can't praise them enough. Would HIGHLY recommend and will return.

Julia was able to accommodate me at the very last minute when my booked BnB was not up to standards. As soon as I booked The Neuadd Cottages Julia did check the flat and made sure teas/coffees and towels were available upon my arrival. All within 10 mins of me booking! Location is beautiful - amazing views! Very comfortable place with all necessary basics available. I have already shared the link of the website with friends and I will certainly be back.

The shower flow and wifi connection was the only let down for me, apart from that this is a stunning place.
The location of the cottages are perfect to set up camp and journey through Brecon Beacons. The cottage is cosy and perfect for a couple wanting to get away for a romantic weekend. The property itself is in a stunning location and being surrounded by hills and stargazing just topped it off.

Two points for improvement: (1) the table in the cottage was not high enough to match the accompanying chairs: one could not fit ones legs under the table! (2) though the cottage was in general very clean, there were large cobwebs on the roof windows and on the outdoor furniture.
Wonderful cottage! Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, lovely bath. Really nice views of the Brecon Beacons from the living room and of the impressive starry skies from the bathroom. We appreciated the welcome leaflet and enjoyed two of the suggested walks along the canal (one with a stop at the Vine Tree pub for Sunday lunch, and one evening walk trough fields of sheep and foxes). Check-in was easy, parking was plentiful. Lovely outdoor seating, mostly in the sun. All in all the cottage was not cheap but certainly good value for money, as we had a very comfortable stay.

My wife would have liked some additional blankets to have been made available for chillier summer nights. Although there was (very) hot water aplenty, the flow of cold water was extremely slow/weak. Neither of these points however affected our enjoyable stay.
The property is an ideal base for hiking in an area that we have visited on numerous occasions. For potential guests who are not familiar with the area, the apartment is equipped with numerous guides to the many hiking trails in the area. It is easy walking distance to an excellent pub (The Horseshoe Inn, in Llangattock) which serves well kept real ale and food. Crickhowell is a little further with more choices for restaurants and pubs.

Incredible location - Ideal for some brilliant walks on the doorstep or if you’d prefer, simply relax and take in the amazing 360 views from the cottages. Would thoroughly recommend as a place to stay and the owners were very welcoming and friendly, with plenty of advice if you are new to the area.

We stopped in the Usk apartment. Everything we need was there. Loads of room and a lovely courtyard to sit in outside with views over the valley. The guide book supplied was a great help. Pub in the village is great and very friendly. Will definitely be back.

The setting was beautiful. Everything was very clean and Covid safe. Lovely courtyard with designated seating. Good parking. Places to eat in walking distance. We hired a boat from down the lane. Lots of walks from doorstep and facilities for bicycles. Lots of information provided online.

Entrance door doesnt close properly. Damp/old/musty smell in halll/stairs. ? Stair carpet. Cobwebs on inside windows,and behind lavatory seat,. Breadbin not cleaned from last visitor Old dressers smelt. Overall place looked neglected. Courtyard also looked neglected full of weeds and dead plants. Shame!!
Owner very informative of directions and walks in area. Location amazing

we had to do part of their laundry duty and take out rubbish which was. it part of the deal when we booked. tried to call and tried to call the number and no answer.
