Could not say there was a fault , to be honest.

The location was very central and even though it didn't look like it from first impression, it was very quiet. The breakfast is also worth a look at.

The kitchen area needs more extraction, the smell from the food gets up to the rooms and can make the room smell of frying, which in turn does make your clothes smell so we left ours in the suitcase. The hotel needs a bit of a face lift inside and out.

Stay was good, the room was clean and comfy if a little small. No problem with the WiFi and the staff were pleasant. I was happy considering what I paid when it was Easter weekend. Location was good, on Mostyn street where everything is.

The layout of our room could've been better because there were no bedside tables and the wardrobe was against the bed and I kept touching it in the night. If I'm being super picky the main light had to be switched off near the door. The room was up 5 sets of stairs, it can't be helped. A lack of plugs or phone holding locations for charging.

I was a bit nervous because the walkways and stairs were very grubby looking. Check in took a while but they were busy with food orders. However the room was very clean with hotel cotton sheets, towels for each person and a mini shower gel & shampoo. Tea tray & biscuits more than adequate. We asked for a top up of loo roll & we got new tea cups & tea bags as well as straightening up the beds. Very spacious with a table & 4 chairs & quite a bit of storage for clothes. £50 dog deposit on arrival which actually made me appreciate that they cared about the state of the rooms. They just do a quick check before you leave & then you get your money back. Breakfast was nice, a bargain and lovely to be able to order what you wanted instead of a standard stuffy b&b. Everything was cooked well. WiFi is free to use. Door key for outside from 10pm provided. Location in town is excellent. Parking isn't available but the church over the road always seemed to have spots. If you park your car there it's very unlikely you'd need to move it. So many places to go!

Exterior of hotel and the reception and stairways are not impressive, thankfully the rooms are a welcome contrast. As previous reviews have said, the stairways smell of cooking fat. A minor complaint, the table with tea / coffee facilities on is too big and gets in the way of legs and the TV aerial. Having said this I think it is good value for money as the price reflects the above downsides.

Very clean, newly decorated and newly furnished room with everything we needed for an overnight stay.Comfortable bed, blackout blind and able to open window for fresh air. Bathroom needs some updating in areas but functional and clean. Great central location .

For what I paid there is nothing to improve

Location and room size are excellent as is the bathroom. In area with many high quality hotels this one for somebody on a budget. It exceeded my expectations, particularly the room itself. A short walk from the train station, beach and local restaurants. even had biscuits with the room tea and coffee.

First trip up to the room with suitcase and other belongings was the most challenging, otherwise it was okay. The clock in the room needs changing battery.

It was simple and practical, spacious room with slightly older (as expected) but well-maintained facilities - beddings and towels were clean, was able to sleep well, friendly staff, tea coffee milk sugar all available with a small cookie snack and bottle of water. Many nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Good for a work trip. Enjoyed the stay.

Heating. Either cold or a sauna. Would be good to know the times it’s on in the day, so showering etc can be planned accordingly.@

Should have asked about moving to a lower floor as there were a lot of stairs to negotiate. Speaking later to staff they assured me they would have done there best to help.

All in all a pleasant stay. Great location, very friendly staff with helpful tips on where to go. All meals were a very reasonably priced and very tasty, especially the Sunday roast, fussy eaters are no problem as they are happy to accommodate all requests. Had a good nights sleep as bed was very comfortable. Will be happy to return for another break.

Dated decor and paintwork inside and out needs freshening up. Bathroom fixtures had been removed and poorly filled holes left in the wall. Could be covered with sheets of large plastic panels which look neat and are easy to wipe clean. Public areas are untidy with items stored on top of cupboards on landing areas. Signs say its being refurbished but could still be tidied in the meantime. Right below room 2 & 3 is a hotel bar which played quite loud music during the day on Saturday but not late on. Main ceiling light in our room was daylight white (as opposed to warm white) which made the room feel cold and 1 bedside lamp was very dull. Would be better with at least 1 more bedside lamp and lighting at the dressing table.

Very clean hotel, bedroom & bathroom. I thanked the cleaner when I saw her. Our room 3 was immaculate. Smelled clean as soon as we opened the door. No black mould in the shower. Inside drawers & wardrobe were dust free. Glass shower screen was spotless and streak free. Staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. My husband is disabled so needed extra pillows and these were quickly sourced. I'm on Slimming World so asked for a custom made breakfast which was made beautifully both mornings we stayed. I asked to take my husbands breakfast to our room and this was very considerately plated up and wrapped in foil. All staff we met were very chatty, friendly & helpful. I learned one name and said I'll mention her by name in my review but she said it's a team effort which I thought was humble. Great location from beach, plenty of charity shops and cafes. Great Curry house Bengal Dynasty 2 mins away Decor a bit tacky but food great. For the price was great.

I knocked points because of what I would call the”kerb appeal” of the hotel and the fact there was no lift! But I should have known that when I booked and didn’t check. Wehrmacht er arrived and the young man who checked us in noticed my disability he immediately changed our room to an equal room on the first level. This impressed me as I didn’t even ask. The room was just lovely. Newly and beautifully decorated and indeed there was a sea view and all that I could ask. The room was spotlessly clean but I think that the corridor was not as spic and span as it could be. There was also no food available in the hotel so we had to go into the town for food which as lsd convenient. But having said all this I would book to stay here again most assuredly. Great value for money.

The amount of stairs. However for someone with a gammy knee. The stairs are surprisingly easy to navigate. Being deep but short steps. Make getting up and down, luggage and dog in tow now too bad.

There's no lift, but it wasn't a problem for us, could be for others, though. Information about breakfast wasn't available in the room, but there were a lot of posters around saying what time it opened, etc. No iron in the room asked for one, but it didn't arrive.

The location is perfect, parking on the church across the road. Ideal for beach, pier and shops. The staff were friendly on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable apart from the bed, a little uncomfortable.
