The place was freezing cold when we arrived, despite clearly having an adequate central heating system.

Plenty of parking space. I can't comment on the staff as we saw nobody.

People coming back late can be a bit noisy, people above us seemed like they were running around. Not the properties fault tbf. The roads to the place are quite challenging. Expect to have to squeeze past another car, or be comfortable reversing.

The hotel was booked on the premise that there was a restaurant and bar as indicated on their blurb. An hour before leaving home we were told that no such facilities were available but we could get a full refund. That news came too late for us to consider that option so we had to make do with what was available. The room was very good, spotlessly clean and well supplied with soaps, etc. The hotel must have known well before they told us that there was no catering so it was rather cynical to leave the advice until it was too late to make alternative arrangements. Won’t go there again, which is a pity.

This is a lovely little hidden gem, it was my second stay here, rooms are lovely and very clean, easy access with key lock, hot drink facilities and on my second stay i had a porridge and croissant oprions which is a nice touch. Really helpfull staff any questions will be answered, The views are lovely and good location so close to Sowerby Bridge

There was no breakfast option at that time, it’s a bit ‘out of the way’ up a really steep hill with narrow lanes.

Rooms were really good. The key handover is a good idea. We were all very pleased with our choice. Free parking was an added bonus.

Secure key lock spring is very strong and struggled to open it. This'll probably change after time, as it was new.

Large room that had a desk and a comfy chair to work at. WiFi signal was strong and easy to connect. Comfy bed and duvet with controllable radiator. Room 20 was on the ground floor with access right up to the door for anyone with specific access requirements, a large bathroom & walk in shower. Support rails and wall mounted seat. I'd stay again if in.the area.

For us a mini fridge in the room would have been great. As the restaurant/bar wasn’t open at the start of January, we had bought some food and drink for breakfast/evening drinks. It was 3 degrees outside so we ended up putting it out in the balcony which was fine in the end!

The room had an easy self check in system. The bed was extremely comfy and the view from the room was lovely.

If there is anyway to call out, it’s the small winding road to get to the property from Sowerby Bridge, if you can use the back road then do that

Decided on a quiet NYE with my partner & I came across this place. The views from the balcony were good, I'm one for a scenic view and it didnt disappoint. The room was cosy, and we was able to relax. Definitely would recommend the balcony room.
