Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo shower, TV with no remote control, overall a bit shabby, no one to hand back the key at 9am on Sunday so we just left them on a console.
Room was very clean, bathroom was very clean too, quiet place, food in the pub.

United KingdomNot pristine clean (although neither were we, so that wasn't a high priority!) And could maybe have done with a bit more soap/ shampoo/ mugs in the family rooms.
Friendly staff, despite the fact we turned up plastered in mud on mountain bikes and at £35 pppn including breakfast it met our limited budget, family rooms worked well for a group of friends. Standard pub food, rooms were warm, met expectations for the price point. Good location for riding and visiting Pistyll Rhaeadr etc.

This is casual accommodation, suitable for walkers, cyclists and bikers who need to stay in the area. Bar food and beer are good.

United KingdomNo shower or hot water in the bedroom. No bedside light. It's a shame they don't have more staff as they were pretty rushed which meant a dip in service unfortunately.
The location was perfect for our purposes. The staff were fab. Music on the Sunday night was a great bonus. A really friendly place to stay.

United KingdomIt was fairly expensive for the location, but not surprising given the difficulty in finding available alternate options. The room was dated and bathroom could do with a refit.
The pub food was good and the location was ideal for riding at Revolution Bike Park nearby. The staff were also very friendly and happy to help.

United KingdomOur room was over the pub so there was no chance to get any sleep until the party finished. They have a well deserved 3 stars hygiene rating. Dirty glasses, sticky tables etc. Also, we were expecting breakfast. What we found in the morning were an unattended loaf of toast bread, some marmalade and cereal. There were no plates so we had to use cereal bowls.

United KingdomWe were given the wrong room at first which had a tele that didn't work, but upon pointing out that this was not what Booking.com promised us it was sorted with thanks to India.
This place is in an awesome setting and the food is brilliant. The only downside to the room was the television only got a few channels mainly BBC1, 2 and 4, but this is just a small thing compared to the Inn's setting. The décor of the room was a little old and could do with a spruce up but again it is in a stunning place and the food was great, so these are just small faults.

United KingdomSausage, egg and beans ;-) lol, how funny - breakfast was limited - but again, don't expect too much for your money. The bed was very squeeky.
It is what it is, a 2/3 star hotel in the middle of North Wales. Staff all pleasant enough, fantastic location. Evening meal was nice. Can't really quibble for an overnight. I wouldn't stay longer, but for a stop off, overnight, somewhere cheap and clean and tidy to stay it's perfect.

IrelandThe room was quite dirty (spider webs etc). No parking belonging to the New Inn
The location is lovely, surrounded by mountains. The place itself is quite old and not much work was done to improve it (none). You had a kettle but no cups to make tea/coffee. Breakfast was tasty and there is a good selection to choose, but you have to go to a separate building.
