Beautifully presented house with well maintained gardens! Peaceful surroundings & great views. Cindy was so welcoming and looked after us right from the start; even driving to meet me, as I’m not too good with directions! There was so much attention to detail in everything she did and afternoon tea on our day of arrival, with crumpets and home made cakes, went above and beyond what we would have expected! Will stay again if we get the chance.

Cindy is an exceptional host and we were immediately made to feel very welcome. The house is in a pleasant and quiet rural location close to small and characterful villages but with ready access to the A1 and with the small town of Baldock 10 minutes drive away. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent: beautifully presented and cooked and very substantial and served in a light and airy room. Secure and easy car parking by the house. We will definitely visit again.

We booked this stay as part of a couple spa weekend break and was absolutely delighted with our decision to stay here. Everything about our stay was perfect from the warm welcome with tea and cakes, the tastefully decorated room, the lovely bowl of fruit, and such a delicious and well presented breakfast next morning. Special mention to our hostess Cindy, whose hospitality, beautiful sense of humour and kindness was memorable. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful, calm and quiet old English country house, a proper Bed & Breakfast. Cindy the host was lovely, very friendly and attentive. Comfortable bed and soft super clean carpets, great full English breakfast, lovely big bathroom and a bath, didn’t mind the fact it was not en-suite. Everywhere was just incredibly clean. What a lovely stay!

What fabulous hosts! We were welcomed with hot drinks and cakes. Our bedroom with en-suite was large and comfortable and came with complementary fruit, biscuits and facilities for hot drinks. In the morning, we were offered a great selection of fruit and cereal with a full English breakfast. I mustn’t forget to mention the amazing views from every window. We’ll definitely stay again when in the area.

Double stairs to room a little tight, but easily managed by a 73 year old. Otherwise difficult to fault.

Quiet country location. Beautifully maintained and spacious. Offroad parking. Room very well appointed with excellent bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast was all you could ask for, and the host welcoming and charming.
