The cold wind on the sea front, but there was nothing anyone could have done about that.

A comfortable place to stay while the painter and decorator worked on our bedroom and bathroom back home. Spotlessly clean and heating easy to control. Lovely to hear the birds singing, and plenty of local attractions in Sheringham.

As mentions in many of the other reviews the Fridge/Chiller was not good far to noisy to leave on as it is in the room near the bed, it didn't seem to cool either. A couple of minor things no tea towels were supplied which made drying the cutlery difficult and no shower mat which make keeping the bathroom floor dry difficult. Small things but they make the difference.

Defiantly one of the best locations in Sheringham only minutes from the coastal footpath. The room was very clean and bright. Bed was exceptionally comfortable also liked the efficient shower. Very easy to park the car which can be a real bonus in Sheringham. The host was very quick to communicate and helpful.

Lovely room, with good facilities. Great size & liked the sitting area. Comfortable king size bed & nice bathroom. The location was great, 10 to 15 minute walk to the station, 10 minutes to town & 5 minutes to the coastal path. Had a great few days. Would recommend & would book again.

The fridge was very small with only enough capacity for milk; one a little larger would be much better.

Loved the location on a quiet road but close to amenities and the coast path. The apartment was warm, bright, clean, and comfortable. The plentiful supply of coffee pods was much appreciated. Lisa was very helpful and responded to my enquiries within minutes. The off-street parking was a bonus, as was the small outside patio/seating area. We would most definitely stay here again.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like as such. My only comments would be to upgrade the bath towels for new ones as the ones I had, although they were clean, they were worn and have had their time. Also bath sheets would be better for showering as well as a bath towel or hand towel. The mini fridge was too noisy to have on but a little fridge would have been ideal. These are very small details! And certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying here again, I’d just bring my own towel maybe. A gorgeous little retreat!

I love how tucked away the retreat is, it’s on a quiet road with drive access and a little terrace if you like to sit outside of a morning with a cuppa. Inside, the retreat is decorated lovely and feels so cosy, it’s very clean and has everything you could possible need. Coffee/tea making facilities with all consumables including Biscoff biccies! Hairdryer, mini fridge (very noisy to have on, although a great addition), sofa, tv, wifi etc. The bed, pillows and duvet are ridiculously comfortable, it was like climbing into a cloud every night and much comfier than my own bed at home. For me, that topped off the whole stay, you can stay in the nicest of places but if the bed isn’t comfortable then it’s no good. The host Lisa was very informative, friendly and even offered me a complimentary brekkie as a good will gesture for some building work going on next door, lovely customer service. I can’t wait to come back!

This was my third visit The Retreat and I have always found the room to be light, bright and well looked after. It is very convenient for Sheringham town and beach, and is also close to Cromer which is a place I also enjoy very much. I would very much like to return.
