Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWould have been fab to have had some cakes etc on sale given the name. Also breakfast was limited & a bit disappointing. No fresh coffee options for example, croissants etc. Wish they did a cheese board or charcuterie in the evening we would have stayed with them to eat.
Great location , fabulous bar/ breakfast area

United KingdomThe staff, the bar and the breakfast were excellent. The close neighbourhood is pleasant and green to walk around. The building is characterful at the front, but the bedroom in the extension where we stayed is modern and bland. The room was fine, but no more.

United KingdomThe room was very comfortable and I slept well but don't take a cat as you won't be able to swing it.
The breakfast was very good. Unusually for me I had a cooked breakfast (full English) and the poached eggs were very nicely done, the bacon was thick and not surrounded by white residue (it was good quality). Breakfast was served in the bar which, at 08.00, did not smell of ale. Well done on that point. Cleanliness was excellent. The bar must be commented on. A decent choice of cask ales, all well kept and served with a head on. The bar was very busy so that tells you a lot.

United KingdomOverall, the price is too high for what you get. Old Kenilworth is a nice location and inside the pub it's sweet, but the rooms are not reflective of the more luxury price charged.
This was absoluey fine for our 1 night stay. Room was clean, tidy, quiet and had all the basic comforts that we needed. Lovely full English breakfast served on Saturday morning, although there were also cold options. The bar itself is cosy and serves some nice beers and when we visited (late November) had a nice Christmassy atmosphere.

United KingdomI'm being very picky but: The milk didn't taste very fresh. It tasted like long life. The room had no lighting by the desk and mirror so very hard to see what one was doing at the desk. The fob key to get in after hours didn't work. The staff were pleasant but it felt like they were too busy to properly engage. Nobody asked how our stay was.
Breakfast was good and I liked the sausages. The place was in an excellent location and the decor was lovely. It was really clean.

United KingdomRoom was a little bit warm even though the heating was off. We did have to use the fan (provided) in the morning as it was so warm. Think the room we stopped in will probably be stifling in the summer.
Location was good for where we wanted to be in the evening. Breakfast was amazing. The cooked breakfast is a must.

United Arab EmiratesIt’s not a 4 star hotel as advertised. It’s your regular pub room so don’t expect anything other than a 2star bedroom and washroom. Very outdated furniture. There’s hardly any light in the room and it was difficult to get dressed. There’s no aircon so can get quite hot during summer. There’s no reception as you expect and the doors won’t open till 3pm check in time so if you arrive early, be prepared to wait out in the rain till somebody arrives to open the pub for you to check in. Check out too is sharp 10am with no facility to leave your luggage anywhere if you have a later flight.
Location wasn’t that far from Warwick University. It’s ok for an overnight stay kind of bed and breakfast. The pub is buzzing at night.
