The restaurant kitchen exhaust fan was just outside our windows so a bit noisy when the kitchen was in use.

Comfortable room. Good menu choices in the restaurant. Continental breakfast.

No food available in the evening and the breakfast was awful. English breakfast overcooked and burnt. We left most of it.

The room was tired, a window missing in the bathroom, the taps in the sink were both Hot Water. The staff were mainly young and did not appear to be well trained. The kitchen was noisey and music being played in such was too loud, I had to go and ask them to turn it down.

The breakfast was good, the building is nice.

Having to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. I had assumed it was included, since we paid a b&b rate. The bathroom was extremely small, had to actually leave the door open to be able to move in there.

Location is nice, breakfast room was nice.

The bathroom was not fit for purpose no bigger than a glorified cupboard. Shower water was sometimes lukewarm at best. No cooked breakfast available on our last morning, continental only. The choice was limited to cereals, some fruit well past its best and a few pastries that had been there throughout our stay!!

The cooked breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked. The staff were friendly. Great location.

Room was a bit grubby, loads of cobwebs which I cleared away, curtains hanging of the rails. Bathroom shower screen grubby, no clean spoons and only one saucer.

Staff are really lovely. Bar area really quaint and cosy. Didn't eat this time.

I booked a single room. I was given a small room with a double bed and wardrobe and unit with kettle etc. There was no space for any bedside table or bedside lamp on either side of the bed so I had to open the wardrobe drawer to use as a place to put a drink down when on the bed. And leave my phone on the other side of the double bed for my alarm and a night light. there was no mirror in the bedroom to use to dry my hair, I had to angle the TV to see a reflection. The bathroom was clean, the hot water kept cooling down and there is a drainage problem with the shower and I could easily have caused a flood. the food was not great, roast potatoes that were hard from being kept hot too long for example.

The staff are all friendly and helpful . Bedding and towels and the room were all clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was able to get a table to eat.

In the first room I was given, the bathroom window would not shut with a large gap allowing cold air in. However, the very pleasant young lady apologised and promptly offered me another room.

A lovely quiet pub in a village near St. Ives. There is free ample parking on site, and free wifi. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The evening meal and breakfast were very good, the latter from 07.00am. The room was comfortable and kept warm, which was good as the weather had turned cold.

The room was very small, Room 1 is at the top of the stairs and has the headroom for the stairs in the room so taking away from the size of the room. It was also a stud wall covering and was very noisy, we could hear every footstep and firedoor slamming. The bathroom is equally small, difficult to dry yourself after a shower and bending over the sink, couldn't do this with the door closed. Dirt trapped between the windows and the fly screens on the windows, evidence of dead spiders and fly excrement. Not enough room around the bed, could also do with decorating. Curtains too short on one window, too long on the other-pur on the wrong windows perhaps?

The staff were very good, professional, friendly and very personable. Great setting overlooking the River Great Ouse

An unique, historical Inn in a superb location right on the river

The bedrooms are small because the Inn is very old that is understandable, however the windows and mosquito nets have seen far better days and are filthy dirty, letting the hotel side of things down.

It is a very old Inn right on the River Great Ouse. The restaurant is delightful as is the outside area beside the river. It is very peaceful and a somewhat 'secret' location.
