Quite a bit of road noise at night (but it was a Friday night and our bedroom was at the front of the building looking on to the high street). Facilities more than made up for this, though, to be fair.

Never seen such an immaculately clean room (we were in Baldock Room) and gorgeous bathroom, even when we've paid significantly more elsewhere! Extremely well presented, comfy bedroom, and the shared areas of the inn were lovely too. Also, the food (both breakfast and lunch menus) was superb and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly (Ted loved his stay, too 🐶 )

Room got rather warm at times but electric fan provided. No food after 4pm but brilliant pub across the road.

Lovely setting and very well managed. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend an intend to return.

The hotel was a beautiful historical property that is illustrated on the walls. The room was lovely and so spacious, fantastic towels and extras. The hotel is set in the center of the village over looking the church which I could see from my window. The facilities downstairs were great with a function room and restaurant. Breakfast was really nice with brilliant coffee. I felt very welcomed both me and my little dog who was able to sit with me at breakfast. Love to come again and would definitely recommend it.

The checking in. I was expecting the key code to come to my email address but as I'd booked through Booking.com it went to my message box on the Booking. Com app. So had to alert a member of staff to come and let us in. It was then that he told me to look at the Booking.com message box.

We stayed in the Read Room on the first floor and it was quite hot and stuffy. Had to sleep with windows open to regulate the temperature. The trade off was the road noise.

Great location, little village with a pub and coop close by.Good parking. Rooms are spacious and the Tv was a smart tv so gave options.
