Parking. Had to pay in public car park which was 16.00 overnight and 6 minutes walk from hotel. No room to park. However it was a Sunday and the weather was good.

The parking on the website it said parking on site but you had to pay miss leading we were told if we paid £7 it covered us for the length of our visit the problem was when we returned after a day out the car park was full so we had to pay to park somewhere else and return later in the evening to get a parking place

This bottle was absolutely amazing . The original characters of the building made us feel we were back in time, although fantastic facilities in all rooms . The staff were amazing and very attentive and helpful. Fantastic all round, we would definitely recommend it.

The adjacent car park is quite small - so had to park in one of the bigger car parks further away and move it when there was a space. Also the overnight ticket has to be renewed at 8am so have to be up relatively early to do this.

Only issue was the carpark. Additional cost for the carpark which we didn't realise. Carpark was full at the pub as shared with model Village. Had to park a short walk which was expensive for overnight. Second night we managed to get a space at the pub

Pay and display parking with such limited space isn't ideal (but you are warned about this beforehand). Stairs to the upper floors are steep and narrow, but the staff will help you with luggage, so it's not the end of the world unless you have mobility problems.

The location was ideal for seeing around the town. The whole environment created in the hotel was relaxing and the food really good. All the staff we dealt with were polite and helpful. Ask for a room on the front for a view of the river.

Cannot fault anything, it was perfect!

We booked the suite for 2 nights and it was fantastic, everything had been thought of. I cannot fault anything about the whole place. Breakfast was brilliant as well.

Nothing, we enjoyed all aspects of the property and our stay.

Warm, friendly and welcoming environment. Great staff and really helpful, from cleaning to bar and waiting staff and chefs, you ask, they delivery with a friendly smile. Spotless property, freshly painted and cosy. Rooms were great and cosy and the beds were extremely comfortable.

It was card only when paying for drinks, food I know this is common practice now but it would have been better if a notice was put up before you entered bar, restaurant to inform patron's that it is card only. It was a good job that I was carrying my card as my husband does not carry one only cash. We did mention this on checking out and was told that it was simpler and that it saves going to the bank. All other pubs in the village and shops do except cash.

Room was lovely haven't been to the new inns for a few years and was pleasantly surprised at how it had been updated and was fresh looking, bedrooms were spacious and bed was comfy, breakfast was nice and a good choice to be had, staff were pleasant and helpful.

I had two flights of stairs to climb. Im sure if i had mentioned that I cant do stairs well at the time of booking I could have been allocated a different room.

Amazing stay at this lovely hotel. Andrew and his team are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed for new year and had the taster menu which was amazing. Our room was the suite with free standing bath which was superb and worth the money. Excellent breakfast with a choice of full English or salmon/eggs plus buffet style crossiants etc. Would stay again. Location right in the centre.

single pane glass gave real drafts but we were given a heater that mainly sorted the cold in our room.

Lovely period building and tastefully decorated. Super comfy HUGE bed! Great, friendly staff. yummy homemade food.
