The Old Rectory in Scotland is a true gem, offering a stay fit for royalty! The room we had was nothing short of extraordinary, with a bathroom that could rival any palace. The shower and bath were luxuriously spacious, perfect for a relaxing soak or a refreshing rinse. However, what truly stole the show were the views. Gazing out over the lock in Inveraray was like being transported to a dreamland. The scenery was absolutely stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop to an already idyllic setting. The attention to detail and the care put into every aspect of our stay was evident. From the elegant furnishings to the impeccable cleanliness, it’s clear that the hosts take immense pride in their establishment. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived, with warm hospitality and a genuine eagerness to ensure our stay was perfect. The Old Rectory truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return for another enchanting escape. If you’re looking for a place that combines opulence, comfort, and natural beauty, look no further than The Old Rectory. It’s an experience that will leave you enchanted and longing for more. Five stars simply don’t do it justice!

    I can’t think of anything!

Breakfast was all you could wish for. The choice rivals many 5 star hotels I booked the Rectory for a one night stop on the way to Oban to catch the ferry to Barra. Sometimes you just stoke lucky. The whole stay was lovely,

The bathroom was spacious with v.g. Hot water supply However, a small table within would have been useful and the open bath and shower combo was a bit limiting in terms of prevention of water spillage onto the floor

Breakfast offering was excellent - including wide range of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juices, continental meats and cheeses and cooked breakfast offerings prepared fresh on request In the room there were facilities to make a range of teas, coffee, hot chocolate Room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and a lovely view of the loch - situated in a convenient and quiet location with centre of Inveraray and free parking a short walk away

This is a beautiful old building with stunning sea views. The interior decor oozes calmness, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Our room was two flights up but worth the climb for the views. Also the en-suite has a bath rather than a shower …ideal if you have a child with you. The other room on this floor has a shower so perhaps contact the hosts if this is a must.
