The double bed mattress in the house is not as comfortable compared to home, but that's just how it is.

Lovely old School converted to a house. Excellent location and very well equipped. Tideswell is lovely and perfectly situated to explore the surroundings and beautiful countryside. Great to have a log burner that actually works well and throws out a lot of heat after a long walk. Tideswell is well served with great pubs and restaurants and the people are very friendly. Quiz night in The Star on Tuesdays, and in the Horse & Jockey on a Thursday both serving good food as does The George Inn.

Lovely property in the perfect location. Close to lots of good walks. A really nice comfortable stay. The house has everything you could need (they have literally thought of everything) and the village has all you could need too, a shop, cash machine and lovely pub (or 3). We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Kitchen and bathrooms are a little tired

The cottage is comfy, cosy and bigger than we expected. The beds are not 'home' quality but are definitely comfortable enough. The location was perfect for us - 2 adults, 2 children (8&12) and a dog. Tideswell is a lovely place to have a wander round with some very friendly pubs. Days out at Buxton/Crich/Chatsworth/Matlock are a pleasant drive away. We were there for the August Bank Holiday weekend which meant that our stay coincided with 'George Fest 22'. We enjoyed the evening we spent at the festival but there was quite a lot of music noise that could be heard late into the night back at the cottage. It didn't spoil our stay but might be worth knowing if you're there for any other George Fest weekends.
