Dare I say the quizz - it almost emptied the bar . Also lack of residents parking / had to pay for the public carpark .

All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful . The rooms were very comfortable indeed and our evening meal in the bar was excellent . I live quite locally so I’ll definitely be back .

There is no information in the room such as Wi-Fi code and no reception phone. It would be good to have some local tourist info as well

The sea view room was spacious and very comfortable. The view outstanding. The quality of the food produce was excellent Although there is no parking at the hotel the car park is across the road and currently £9 for 24 hours. Well worth it as I think accommodation cost is not expensive

Had early departure before breakfast commenced at 0800. We were promised a “breakfast to go” but nobody could be found in the building prior to departing, bit disappointing following the related conversation the evening before. Tried ringing the bar area a few times prior to arrival, never got a response, understaffed and too busy I’m guessing.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. Maybe parking a bit of a problem but nothing serious.

Breakfast was really good.A good variety from continental to full English. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.View from the annex was beautiful.

Website says parking but there is no onsite parking. You have to pay £9.00 per day across the road in the beach car park that can get very busy. If no parking there then you have to go 200 yards up the road to the Docks car park. Same Price. It was not really a problem as we found a parking spot pretty close. The staff looked very stressed out. I think they were a little under staffed during our visit as they all looked like they had had enough. But on the whole they were very pleasant.

I guess it’s inevitable but there was a lot of sand about the place, which gave the appearance of not being clean. Although I loved the room, getting there was a bit of a struggle. Several flights of stairs.

The view from our bedroom (No 11) was superb. The pub has huge character, and the staff could not have been more helpful. My husband loved his breakfast, smoked salmon, eggs and hollandaise sauce.

We stayed in the older part of the pub which was nice but our room wasn’t clean. There were dead spiders in most of the windows and corners of the room. The shutters on the windows were dusty and dirty. There was no house keeping on any of the 3 days we were there nor was there any notifications regarding housekeeping. The carpet and bathroom floor had sand on them and in them which must have been from before our stay as we didn’t go onto the beach. This was also the case throughout the pub and corridors. We saw one lady with a hoover but she only hoovered by the reception area. Although it was a dog friendly pub which we knew, we didn’t like that dogs were allowed in the restaurant. On one occasion a big husky style dog was sat right behind us. He was very smelly, think he had been swimming. He also lunged at our table whilst we were eating which startled my husband so much he almost left the restaurant.

The location was excellent as was the food. The staff were helpful and friendly.

£9.00 per day parking in the council run car park as limited parking onsite is staff only 😑 Added to the cost of our stay soon adds up.

Beautiful location right opposite the beach ⛱️ Nice pub and restaurant all onsite which helps as there isn't many options.
