There were a lot of dogs at times which somewhat detracted from the overall experience….not all are dog lovers I’m afraid

Us staying for longer I guess

The breakfast was very good and service was tip top I also feel that the location was very good for us to do birdwatching with about 4 or 5 top reserves being within 15 miles from the hotel. Even though I have not got a dog , the hotel was very dog friendly and I thought that it was a good thing. Dogs were well behaved and quiet.

Our only criticisms of the room are that the only plug available near the mirror meant having to move the bedside cabinet to use my hairdryer and that there was no full length mirror, but these are very picky things.

Our room was lovely and very comfy. Dinner in the restaurant was beautiful and my husband said his breakfast was excellent. Also the price of the room as very good value especially given the location.

The whole experience was excellent, from booking the room to checkout. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, the presentation was superb. We had breakfast and dinner in the OT. The food was excellent 5 Star. All the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it to anyone. The OT will offer you the best in class restaurant, bar and rooms. Thank you

The breakfast was lovely and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The location is perfect with some great walks close by. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms with our dog. The room was spacious and warm with modern accessories. The check in experience was perfect and we were encouraged to do the online check in prior to our arrival. We hadn't pre-booked the restaurant but they were able to accommodate us. There was a great selection on the menu and the food and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

Didn’t dislike anything.

Loved everything. The staff were all brilliant, all friendly, happy & so helpful! Room was lovely, perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was really nice, the young girl who served us was brilliant! We also had lunch & it was delicious! Best food we’ve had in a long time!

Everything was fine until a mix up at breakfast on our final day. Veggie breakfast was given to the table next to us, by accident. They took it back to the kitchen, waited 20mins for it to arrive back at our table. Sausages, spinach and tomato was cold, husband ate most of it as we needed to get on the road for a 4.5 hour journey back home. Did mention it to the waiter who appologised, and offered a fresh one, but it had taken a while for that one to arrive. This was a little mix up on what was a lovely stay.

Lovely place to stay. We had a courtyard Room, which was lovely with a lovely outside seating area(sadly couldn’t use due to it raining) bed super comfy. Nice big shower. Breakfast was good, with good quality ingredients

Room was too hot the first night, but OK the next day once we'd adjusted the radiator. Church clock opposite chimes all night, and on the half hour.

We had problems with the room door lock and a noisy radiator in the room but these were fixed while we attended the wedding.

Perfect location to attend a wedding at Thornham church which is opposite. We enjoyed a nice evening meal in the very busy bar restaurant and had a lovely breakfast. The quirky bathroom had a space age double shower with push button controls the like of which I’ve never seen before. There was also a coffee maker and TV with Netflix and Amazon and BBC iPlayer. It was very quiet at night and we were able to park right outside our room which was appreciated as I have a broken bone in my foot. We stayed midweek but the place appeared full so they are obviously doing lots of things right.
