Disappointed with poached egg, avocado and muffin breakfast on last day. Inedible as avocado was very cold and egg undercooked. Waitress apologised but no alternative offered.

Stayed at this hotel 6 years ago and loved it. The hotel is like a gracious old lady. The lounge is so comfortable. The staff and food are also excellent.

It’s clean and spacious. I booked two singles but the rooms were quite big and very comfortable. The restaurant area was also really nice. The staff were very friendly and lovely.

Was a bit shocked with the price of 2 drinks from the bar considering we didn't order alcohol apart from that no complaints we love this place.

We are regular returning customers,this feels like home to us,once you know where somewhere is good you stay! Fantastic hotel,superb staff,views are epic and fantastic location!

At meal times staff seemed a little stressed.there didn’t seem to be enough staff for the number of diners.we would have liked a choice of vegetables at dinner rather than a meal”plated up”.we have used this hotel a number of times as a duchy hotel and we missed this aspect in the restaurant.also our t.v was broken.it was replaced the next day so this was not a big deal but perhaps should be checked when rooms change occupancy.also we constantly ran out of sugar and milk etc

The pillows are not comfortable at all. Breakfast is only served after 8 in the morning which was not suitable for me as I had to leave at 7:30.

The breakfast service was very busy and slightly disorganised. There were signs that the hotel is a bit dated and the spa wasn't what we expected. The pool was freezing cold. Changing rooms cramped and cold and not really a luxury experience. Ended up warming up in the bath in the room instead.

The location was great and the staff were lovely, very welcoming and couldn't be faulted at all. Bedding was comfy and clean.

Outdated room in need of modernisation. Net curtain and shower tiles dirty. Room in need of a good deep clean. Shower mat did not fit shower tray. Torn wallpaper and seams also coming apart in areas. Desk lamp not working. Restaurant tables have no tablecloths. Rushed breakfast and dinner. Small dinner portions. One dimensional vegetarian meals. Requests for more accommodated. Shouldn't have to ask but will when needed. One member of restaurant staff distinctly disinterested and not as good as other staff who were all exceptional. Mentioned in greater detail on hotel feedback form and to reception when checking out. Limited and poor seating in public areas. Better and more seating needed. The lounge has capacity for lovely comfortable new sofas. We sat at the same table for our meals throughout our stay as requested until our last dinner when the same member of staff I found unprofessional said our table was allocated to another guest which we were not happy about. I said the same table is essential as requested for my husband's needs. He reneged and we were able to complete our stay on the same table as we needed but his approach once again was unpleasant. The receptionist said we should have paid when checking in but not asked to. Would have happily paid on check in if asked. She then said many guests leave without paying making me feel uncomfortable. Check in and payment needs to be consistent for all guests to avoid such comments and confusion. If that is the case everyone should be asked to pay on arrival. Overall great hotel with room for improvement. Would I stay again and would I recommend, yes to both but also hoping hotel make essential improvements needed.

We had a warm and friendly welcome, help with our baggage, nice meals, good entertainment, great service, and an enjoyable stay overall. All our needs were taken care of, including a room to meet our needs, a daily breakfast and dinner and a great optional lunch time menu which was so good we used it all throughout our stay. We would go back again and will be recommending to friends and family.

My room, although supposedly the best in the hotel was on the first floor directly over the lounge. On the second night, a live band performed, very loudly until 10.30 p.m. It made sleep impossible. Future guests, be aware.

The room was very good with an uninterrupted sea view. Well equipped, well appointed and good size. The breakfast was very good and the staff were obliging, professional and friendly.

Disappointed you had your pay £5 to use the swimming pool after many years not having too .. it wasn’t the money it was just about goodwill.. plus the wait was long for a coffee and drink in the bar..
