Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The property is just stunning , and perfect you can really tell that the owners really look after it . Frankie was extremely helpful. I was traveling for work so I was using this as a base to and from my locations , I was traveling alone and felt very safe and comfortable . I would return for a retreat as the surrounding area is just so lovely . I was lucky enough to see mother duck and her many ducklings while I said. The bed its so very comfortable that even asked were it was bought from ! I will be booking again

United KingdomBeautiful location, stunning cottage renovated to an extremely high standard. The host and her family are so welcoming yet very respectful of your privacy. The bath is stunning and was a highlight, that with the beach only being a 10 minute walk across the road, lovely in an evening. Everything you could need to cook and relax in the kitchen too!

United KingdomMy only criticism regarding the property was a lack of basic instructions for the appliances/heating for the less technical minded! Also, a mug for tea would be much appreciated after a hearty walk. I know the dinner service is cute featuring the ducks inline with the pond outside 'The Parlour' but sometimes a large cuppa is all you need! For our visit we decided to let the transport system take the strain which suited our needs this time. A car would be essential if you wanted more than a visit to the beach and farm shop.
Frankie, our host went above and beyond when she offered to collect us from Gt Yarmouth town centre after 10pm ( a lifesaver!) The Parlour, in a country setting is exquisite with a luxurious bathroom and the most comfortable bed! Upon arrival the property was inviting, warm with the radio on, just like coming home! Snacks, breakfast supplies and beverages was a thoughtful gesture to see us through our first night/morning. The property is a 10 minute walk to the sandy beach with a convenient store across the road. Waking up to the sound of the ducks on a frosty morning was a delight! We were greeted by the cows at the farm cafe/shop and purchased fresh local produce for our stay. We enjoyed a takeaway most night's as our stay from London was to relax, unwind and breathe the wintry fresh air!

United KingdomWould have liked to have stayed longer 😀
It was absolutely beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. It was perfect for a quiet New Years together and it was lovely being able to just park straight outside and then step into a quiet little apartment for some rest and relaxation. The bathroom was so nice for a couple and the kitchen was well stocked with some nice little touches left for check in. Was perfect for introducing my American boyfriend to the British Coast xXx

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing , fantastic
We stopped in the 1 bedroom , which was fantastic overlooking the pond with ducks on it, was lovely to see them and feed them , they got so friendly they knocked on the door in a morning. Watching the bats doing a display at night , so peaceful, to sit out with a wine or two. The parlour inside was so clean and comfy, like home from home. The bedding was so crisp and white, always red hot water for a bath in the amazing tub or shower. Can't fault it. We are going again next year

United KingdomFrankie is an excellent host making sure that all the little extra’s are there for her guests. We travel from Durham and having things there when we arrive so that we didn’t have to go and do shopping for the following morning breakfast etc is a lovely touch.
It was just as wonderful as it was last year, warm and cosy love the Christmas tree etc. The bed is so comfortable lovely feather filled pillows and quilt Best night sleep I have had in any hotel or B&B

Everything was absolutely lovely. The host had left lots of goodies to get us started. Coming back after our days out knowing we could park was a massive bonus. Loved watching and feeding the ducks, even had a visit from a chicken. Frankie’s communications were brilliant. Although we didn’t have any problems we certainly felt if we needed anything she would be there.
