In the countryside, the room was clean & spacious with a Luxury bathroom walk in shower & the decking area had beautiful views. All the food was Amazing !! We were lucky with the weather so went on some countryside walks. If it was wet you would have to drive to reach Padstow for things to do. Highly recommend 😊 for a relaxing break.

Service was rather slow on the second occasion we ate at the restaurant but maybe this was because our waiter was inexperienced.

The setting of the hotel is spectacular. Our spacious and thoughtfully-designed room with balcony afforded an uninterrupted view of the estuary which was still delightful even in atrocious weather. The extra-large bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe space and a generous hospitality tray. Special mention should be made of the lovely bathroom which had a bath and a separate shower room with the easiest controls we've ever used. Breakfasts were delicious and generous in both options and portions. We ate twice in Oliver's Restaurant and, again, the choice and quality were excellent.

A little isolated from anywhere , Padstow was our main focus, it was about a 10 min drive, the bad weather made driving tougher

Weather!

The roads up to the Inn are typically Cornish, muddy and narrow, and first impressions are deceiving. The moment you enter your room, you are blown away with the views. The room cannot be faulted, with comfort and style. Never seen a TV in a bathroom, and I had to have a bath to try it. The Inn and restaurant were extremely good. Food excellent, and breakfast superb. The staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Will certainly return. Highly recommend 5 star plus.

The location down narrow lanes was not great. Breakfast was fine but expected it to be better. The first breakfast we had was better than the second day . My breakfast had burnt parts which impacted on the other parts on day one . Second day I had to ask for clean cup as it was dirty with drips all down side. My srambled egg was too undercooked and wet even for my husband . The bread was frozen but we toasted it so no real issue. For the money charged we expected more attention to detail and better quality service and food. Vegan soaps are provided to reduce plastic use which is great but then you use plastic bags in the bin and no opportunity to recycle your rubbish . I wonder therefore how committed you are .

Minor things - decaf drink options for rooms would be fab , small camp bed for my daughter a little lumpy and wouldn’t fit a larger child (she’s a petite 10)
