Location was perfect, breakfast was really good

I booked this hotel, over others in the town as it listed parking in the options, so I was expecting a carpark, as we were travelling on motorcycles. The parking offered is a parking permit to put on the dash of your vehicle, and you then park in the town where you can find a spot. I was told at reception that they aren't suitable for motorcycles. I was left with no choice but to cancel as leaving motorcycles out on the street overnight away from any security is not a wise move or covered by insurance

Location is fantastic, not sure about anything else as we did not actually stay there.

Bit dated. Things could to do to be updated and replaced shower needed a good clean No comfy chairs to sit on on an evening

You do need to carry your bags up very narrow and steep stairs so just be aware if you have mobility issues. Parking is up around the bend - and only 15 minutes out front on first arrival to unload bags/check-in. Unfortunately, due to a range of factors, hubby didn’t get the full parking instructions and we ended up with a 35 Pound fine.

Location was wonderful for a one night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a cracking night with the live band and other pub goers on the night of our stay - such a fun night! Breakfast was fabulous on a slight hangover 🤕

Nothing to complain about, all was fine for us. I could advise travelers who have mobility issues or really small children is not to book the rooms at the top of the hotel as the stairs are really steep. But I'm sure the staff would advise on this.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right on the harbour side. Checking in was easy with everything ready for us. The room had a great view of the abbey and was warm and comfy. There was a nice friendly atmosphere around the hotel and bar. Being in the centre of Whitby meant there was a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars to visit.

Typical spring weather, it was raining.

The room and facilities were adequate. The breakfast was excellent.

The bathroom had mould around shower and sink was blocked (I mentioned this on our departure). Access to room was a little difficult due to door being very close to a staircase.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom needed a complete update. The room was quiet. Breakfast was good.

Our room looked onto the balcony and people sitting on tables looked in. So couldn't have window open but this was only during pub opening hours. And for low mobility best room as rest were up more steps

Rooms are tired and breakfast was cold. No hot water for tea, no side plates for toast. We had breakfast at 9.30 and they finish at 10 so obviously didn't want to cater for the late rises lol. Was good value just ashame about breakfast.

Could have had fish for breakfast.

Breakfast and evening meals all good and good beer on tap. Room and facilities when as expected. A good old proper pub in a good location.
