The only thing I didn't like was people in other rooms were slamming their doors up until 11pm with no consideration for other guests and a note could be put up for that... just to say respect other guests.

A charming inn, a delicious restaurant, pleasant rooms and a very nice pub. The garden is a plus, although we didn't take advantage of it in winter. The boss Pierre and the staff are very attentive and welcoming and we had a very good evening with our two daughters. We recommend.

Shower hadn’t been cleaned, lots of hair in the base. No one around to give the key to on departure.

Inside, it could do with being more cosy. Internet is poor by any standards and unacceptable nowadays. Weird to come down in the mornings to find the place locked up, even thought it advertises breakfast at the weekend.

From the outside, it has great character. The staff are friendly. The room is clean and good value and well supplied with teas/coffees. The bed is comfortable.

Very good value room, clean and had everything we needed. Chris was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Good spot for walks and tourist trips. Had a tasty meal there too. I would recommend this as a really good place for a weekend away.

We found the floor in the shower room quite slippery when it was dry. Think it would be even worse if it was wet. The spray from the shower head was not very good, but I guess it is because you are in a hard water area and the holes get a bit bunged up with calcium deposits

The meals we had were excellent, dinner and breakfast. Location was ideal for us, a short distance from the M3 and close for a visit to Haslemere to visit a friend. Our room and beds were very comfortable and well decorated. We were in Room1

A nicely decorated room in a pleasant pub. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. We had dinner in the pub - good pub food reasonably priced. Although the pub only does cooked breakfast at the weekend they supplied a ‘brunch bag’ with croissants, jam and fruit. There was also information about the village shop where you could get a cooked breakfast. The village shop/cafe was worth the short walk for breakfast.

Just a shame no cooked breakfast at hotel mid week, although is available from local shop. However, certainly not a reason not to go....Good selection of continental available...croissants with Nutella! Defo doing that at home!

The staff were incredibly efficient and friendly and when we said we couldn't make our second evening restaurant reservationas we were delayed, they offered to put sandwiches up for us. Super staff and good food....morning croissants were yummy! Would return.

Shower tray was slow to drain and the toilet had limescale. Nothing that a bit of drain cleaner and bleach respectively wouldn't sort.

The noisy fellow guests who woke us up at midnight as they went to bed. The mattress on one of the beds wasn't particularly comfortable. The noise from the kitchen fan was a bit intrusive, but fortunately it was switched off at a reasonable time.

Despite a little disorganisation from a recent management change, the breakfasts both days were excellent. The food on the first evening was also good with a good choice on the menu, including vegetarian options. The chef(s) did very well.
