The property was very secure, exceptionally clean and very spacious.

The location was superb, right in the heart of Leicester, perfect for all amenities and was perfect walking distance to the train station.

Not the owners fault but smelled like previous guests had smoked something in there…… The bar across the street played loud music late into the night. Understandably this can’t be avoided being a city centre location. But the welcome basket had ear plugs in them so that was nice.

Very spacious and clean, 2 showers and toilets, modern kitchen and spacious dining area. Checking in was smooth. Really easy to follow instructions to get in to the property and then in to the apartment.

Just a couple of observations really, nothing that had an impact on our stay. A table or wall lamp in the lounge for a bit more ambient lighting, a row of coat hooks in the hall and a bedside lamp or two could be beneficial.

The location was just what we wanted, in the centre of Leicester City. Perfect! The flat was modern, well equipped and very clean. One newly decorated bathrom and one newly decorated en-suite was great for four people. Communication with the manager before and during the stay was excellent. There is not a lot of parking in the area but the multi-story car park on Newarke Street solved that issue and was only three minutes walk away.

Rock hard pillows,coffee tables wobbly dangerous with hot drinks,they only need tightening up. Bedside lights and hooks in the bathroom, maybe coathooks in the hallway for outdoor coats.

Excellent city centre location,felt safe. Comfortable apart from the pillows ( rock hard) this has been commented on in previous reviews. Very close to the Cathedral and Richard 3 visitors centre, good pubs and eateries.

No bedside lamps, ceiling lights only, so this is the first time I have never been able to read in bed at a hotel/apartment.

The flat was opposite a bar that was so loud and didn’t close till 4am. The kitchen equipment was very minimal and the comfort level of the decor was sparse. Had a fire alarm go off in the night as well so not the best nights sleep

The proximity to a venue, opposite that played loud music until 4am. The suite provided earplugs but they were not sufficient to block out the noise

The only let down was the beds were a bit too firm with very solid pillows. I think its just a personal preference though. The other issue was just noise. There is a night club opposite and you can hear the music until 4am. In fairness, the apartment is in a busy city centre with lots of nightlife. They do kindly provide earplugs, so just be prepared!

Very beautiful building and the apartment was pristine. Its beautifully decorated and has everything you need, including a thoughtful little basket of goodies. The living room was very comfortable and had a good quality TV(it was more HD than real life), so it was great for relaxing. The whole apartment also feels very secure and private. I would happily stay again and recommend it to other people

The lighting in the apartment was very bright / harsh. Some softer lighting/lamps would be better. Lamps are needed next to the beds. The pillows were very very uncomfortable.

Without aircon and the ability to open windows it was very warm and stuffy as we stayed during warm weather. It’s also quite a noisy location, when the bar opposite closes and the bottle bins are filled, people leave after closure etc. The main shower room has a toilet with cistern/basin that although a great idea isn’t practical for washing your face. Some shelving would also be good for a toothbrush/paste etc, the socket is there but there’s nowhere to put whatever has been plugged in. The toilet seat moves too, just needs to be tightened up? Minor things and we only stayed a night but it would make a difference.

Great location, beautiful building and design of apartment with high ceilings and spacious layout. Spotless and newly refurbished? Friendly staff who we met when checking out.

The bathrooms were a bit small but beautiful and Morden lol.

The owner communicated throughout and was flexible to my needs :) . The location is just about 15min walk from the train station , close to a McDonald’s and other food stores + restaurants just a few steps away. Pocklington is really secure felt safe the entire time. Check in was smooth , really easy instructions. Whole apartment was clean and tidy.had towels ,soaps and some snacks left for us. Rooms were big enough . I would recommend this self catering apartment.

The district and surrounds are city centre, which is very convenient for all facilities but can be noisy at night. It's great for nightlife in Leicester though and the relaxing room to return to was fab.

The property was stunning inside, really beautifully renovated, spacious with tall ceilings, and interesting facts about the building hidden in the décor. Amazing attention to detail: included antique books on the coffee table relating to the Town Clerk's role in 1877 when working in that building then. We were attending a burlesque review at the Firebug which was located across the road from the Pocklington, so I appreciated that it was such a short walk in high heels. I couldn't find towels in the room but a quick text to host and there was someone at the door with towels within fifteen minutes.
