    Bit noisy.

Lovely welcome, was told a band would be playing which was great if you didn't want to to sleep at ten pm. 😀 breakfast was prompt, and evening meal was tasty.

Very noisy until the small hours, but then it is above a pub!! The TV had the power buttons removed from the tv set itself, and the remote control, so we couldn’t use it.

The room was spacious, clean and modern. The layout of the beds was perfect, and they were so comfortable. The host was very accommodating for our late arrival.

The single bed was rather soft and the room felt a bit cramped and dark.

Friendly welcome, good value overnight stay. Room could sleep a family of 5 but it would have been a bit crowded (it was just about okay for 3 adults for a one night stay). The rooms are above the bar so expect some noise but it wasn't overly loud (we stayed on a Saturday night). We didn't stay for breakfast (available at extra cost) as we met up with friends elsewhere. Convenient location for the wedding we went to at South Causey Inn. Also close to Durham and Beamish museum. Checked in at the bar but we were then given a key to a separate entrance so it didn't matter what time we got back.

It was very noisy at night. This was expected as it is a pub but it was louder than we thought it would be. Some guests had obviously been smoking in their room also so it made the hallway smell. Couldn’t get the wifi to work in our room

The family room was very spacious and clean. Easy access from the car park so you don’t have to enter through the pub. Lovely friendly staff

The shared bathroom (which was just the toilet as their was a shower and basin in the room). I did know what I was getting when I booked. The only issue I had with the shared toilet was fear of locking myself out of my room at night. It was noisy but again it was a very hot Saturday night and there was a 21st birthday. It did quieten day at about 11.30pm. (You know you are staying in a pub so expect some level of noise)

The room was comfortable. Well decorated. All we needed for a nights sleep. Friendly bar staff. Food available.

No elevator. only 2 floors but we had large heavy luggage. so we grabbed out what we needed for the night and left the bags in the car. worked out ok, but it’s worth noting for future guests.

all the necessary amenities including a pub and restaurant for a very reasonable price.

Unfortunately there was no option for breakfast which was a little disappointing, however with this said the owners are new and I have every faith that this will be resumed in the future. It was also a little difficult to check out. Our check out time was 10am but nobody was in the bar to hand back the keys, so maybe a drop box or something would be handy.

Staff were amazing, so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They were pleasant professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and fresh. Our room wasn't ready so we were able to leave our bags in another locked bedroom until we returned on the evening which was brilliant.
