The water supply to the sink was a very slow that made it hard to fill the kettle not only because of the height of the tap but also the dribble of water that came out. It didn’t spoil anything just a comment

The bed was a little small for us and the mattress was too soft for our taste.

Do it yourself breakfast which was more than adequate. Plenty of choice. Tammy who was working in the bar made us tasty pizzas for dinner which saved us going out. All staff very friendly. We had a large room which was good. Great quiet location. Plenty of parking

Toiletries could be provided (luckily I had brought my own) and perhaps some blackout curtains for rooms facing the road as the lights from cars would shine through.

I had hoped to be able to get a fry up. More a tea, toast and cereal type affair. But perfectly fine otherwise.

Pizza in the pub

Old fashioned accommodation, part of a cosy pub. The bathroom had seen better days but plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee maker, parking, friendly staff. Breakfast was as I expected at the price but something to start the day.

The shower could have been better.

I needed a place to stay in Ware for a family celebration, the Rifle was perfectly located for us, it is just a short walk from the town centre and the train station. The staff in the pub were really welcoming and kind. The room had all we needed for a couple of nights stay, it was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.

There was nothing we did not like. As a personal preference would have liked real butter and maybe some honey at breakfast!

Very comfy bed, very good breakfast with many choices, including little extras like oat milk and excellent quality yoghurts, for example. Excellent location for our needs, and in itself for the local area. Lovely landlord and all staff we met were very accommodating. The actual pub, bar and outside area looked very inviting, though unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of this.

Heating not on or didn’t work it’s winter!!! No milk for my tea but ready for bed so didn’t go and enquire. Kettle playing up . Little smelly from plumbing.

I was made very welcome by Sarah. The pizza she cooked was delicious and the pub very friendly. There was also a warm welcome at breakfast with plenty on offer including some things you wouldn't expect with a continental breakfast. Excellent value for money - you wouldn't expect breakfast for the price!

Nice stay, arrived at 17:20 rang the bell at the side where it states b&b but no answer, so had to go into the bar area to ask staff, friendly lady approached us and brought us through the bar to see the room. We were satisfied with the room but was disappointed with her information as she stated that breakfast was from 08:00 til 11:00, this was totally wrong and breakfast finished at 10:00, we arrived at breakfast at 09:50 and was told were cutting it fine, I explained what the lady said last night but there was no attempt to fulfill are means with a cooked breakfast so had to have just toast or crumpets, The man who part owns the establishment Nigel was very friendly and approachable and did give another guest money to go to the cafe who had been given the same information about the breakfast time. All in All it was satisfactual and would stay again.
