That kitchen fan noise!

The room was large and comfortable, meals were good and service good also. We did have the extractor fan from the kitchen making quite a noise up until about 9pm which wasn't so nice. We were in room No1. The location of the pub was good for parking and the quay and beaches etc.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would return. However, our bedroom, as lovely as it was, sat directly above the kitchen - which disturbed us due to an extremely noisy extraction fan during breakfast and evening meals. You could also clearly hear noise associated with food preparation. The hotel were accommodating in that we were able to change rooms, but a bit of a nuisance as we were only staying a couple of nights. We realise at the time of our stay there was significant construction work being undertaken on site - which is unavoidable. However, it might have been more appropriate for the large gathering of construction site workers eating en masse to be served their breakfast, say, 30mins after the official end of breakfast service for paying guests.

Free parking is a bit limited. A late checkout was agreed but on departure the room staff were knocking on our door and pressuring us to leave sooner.

All aspects were of a high standard regarding the food, staff, service, cleanliness and comfort. This property is also in a great location. Extremely dog friendly.

Only slight drawbacks were some noise from the bar with chairs scraping on floor and a problem with the heating but the staff are great and couldn’t be more apologetic.

Being bit pickie, but little bit noisy late at night due to late night drinkers out front of pub. Also, menu, lemon sole was small, and would have liked bit more vegetarian choice, something simple, but well made, veg lasagne. But just being fussy..

room 1 and 2 have a serious noise problem caused by kitchen extractors on wall behind bed. it starts at 7.30am and goes off at 10pm. 9.30pm if you complain. It really is a big problem and one that could be quickly remedied, however it appears to have been ongoing for over a year. We were not impressed! Also be aware it is beside the carpark (not an issue) but there is a noisy social club/bar in the carpark.

No where for hotel residents to sit, relax and drink past 11.30pm. Entire hotel closes down and residents are sent to their beds!

The refurbishment is superb and very in keeping with the property and surrounding area.

Really well done rooms with care taken over detail. Located above the pub to which can be a problem, but not here, for me anyway. Quiet, and nice to be in a busy popular spot, seeing the village come and go. If you fancy, the sea is just across the road for a dip before breakfast

Disappointed to find NO PARKING available at Hotel despite advertised as restricted parking on a first come first serve basis. Yes plenty of adjacent parking but at a Fee !!!!!!!!

Nice spacious room with lovely en-suite. Breakfast had a lot to offer and was superb although service a little slow at times. The location of the Hotel was excellent.
