How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Unfortunatley the shower curtain does need changing as is moldy :( shower works fine. Also im sad we didnt receive breakfast or any info on how to obtain my breakfast so i was let down by that when left very hungry and paid for breakfast elsewhere aswell. But id still stay
Was greeted by a lovely man who was more than happy to help, for the price we paid it was a decent room, The bed i would say was to my suprise so comfy had great nights sleep, free wifi and tv was standard as should be for the price :) i would 100 percent stay again.

Probably just going up two flights stairs I struggled with a bit that's my fault tho .
Was a triple bunk bed so that was handy for my cousin to stay one night with me which they didn't mind at all

There was a base for a kettle, but no kettle and the floor was wet? Bathroom was really tiny and there was no way to turn heating off.
The location was excellent. Right next to the tower.

No issue with the property at all.
Absolutely lovely stay, I had booked room for another hotel and after issues with check in, last minute booking at 5pm being only myself and two boys I was lucky enough to be welcomed by Ash who was lovely, kind and friendly. Great location. Lovely cosy room. Will definitely be returning.

Towels supplied were very well used and thin (we didn’t use them) and the shower was a bit temperamental took ages to give hot water but was fine once heated up.
Room was small, but was clean and tidy. Bathroom was tidy and clean. Was basic and simple. But the fact it was clean was a bonus and staff was friendly

Not a lot but perhaps a dark curtain on main window but most hotels in Blackpool have light curtain or blind I guess to wake you up lol
Personally I found the Riveria terrific value for money and in a great location. The room I was in was quiet ,warm, hot shower and a comfy bed ,what more could you want . The staff are very helpful and also let me keep my key till midday so could go for a walk on beach . Thank you very much and will be back Dave

The manager was very rude. We paid the hotel £20 for parking and still got a fine. After complaining about this to the manager he gave us £40 towards a £60 fine. Meaning we would have paid £40 in total for two nights parking . After giving us the full £60 for the fine he suddenly became aggressive. Such a shame to have a bad experience with staff after what was a good stay.
Can fault the room, for the price (£25 a night ) it exceeded our expectations. Showers were hot rooms where comfortable

Key wouldn’t go in front door properly so was a struggle. Couldn’t get hold of anyone in the morning using the number provided.
Close to all amenities, bed was comfy, room was clean.

The room wasn't the cleanest, it wasn't awful but there were things like dust in the cups and the shower. We weren't able to get in initally as the numbers on the door weren't answered when we rang but there's also two doorbells so we were able to get in after about 5 minutes. The room was very small BUT it does state "small double" and for one night it was ideal for what we needed.
Great location, it was close to everything and central. For the price there was no real issues, given the number of bad reviews it was better than expected.

No on-site parking but was offered parking on a nearby hotel for £10 per night. Found out later there was cheap parking closer by
