it was very pleasant and clean staff friendly, but cannot comment on the food as had to leave very early to catch train so didn't eat there.

Room 7 smelt smoky, could hear everyone coming up the stairs just before midnight and gutter was dripping outside the window.

Clean linen & bathroom. Provided a packed lunch as leaving early.

It overlooked a busy road which luckily we couldn't hear. Breakfast was self service and a bit random though the waitress did her best

There was a problem with the heating whilst we stayed.

The staff are fantastic. So accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The hot breakfast is cooked to order and lush. The property is quite dated but still clean and comfortable and close to amenities.

Everything was perfect

Room 10 very basic with 2 single beds pushed together not double as booked. Shower was tiny and didnt work well at all. Toilet seat kept falling off. Floors creaked and being only on 1st floor the noise from party downstairs was excessive. Kept us awake

the staff were excellent and friendly doing their best. No issues with parking or location. Plenty tra/coffee in the room. Wi fi good.

Unfortunately all night there was loud music playing somewhere either in the hotel or very close to it. It was the radio and I could hear it all night. It was switched off at approximately 6am which disrupted sleep. A shame as everything else was really good.

Lovely friendly staff who went out of their way to help out, special shout out to the lady who was serving breakfast, who realised I was going to be late, so set aside a setting for me!

shower within the bathroom appears to have been designed for someone the same size and weight as a breadstick. The shower, once squeezed into, was either hotter than the surface of the sun, or colder than ice. Not great after a long day of work.

Hotel rooms were a little jaded, decoration and maintenance issues.

Excellent location, great if travelling by rail. Within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. Staff were exceptional and really went the extra mile to ensure our stay was pleasant. A request to change rooms (an inconvenience issue, rather than a specific issue with the accommodation) was no problem and Nichola ensured she understood our wishes and that they were met. We felt every effort was made to enhance our stay and assist with what became a difficult journey home - holding a room for the extra night until we could confirm we were homeward bound.

The top floor rooms are lovely but being quite tall meant I had to be careful to not bang my head in the corner of the room.

As you enter the hotel the entrance is a beautiful surprise. The staff were very friendly and were keen to help when required. the food was lovely and arrived quickly. Nichola was particularly helpful and had a good knowledge of the local area and facilities.
