Frequent on and off hum of mobile freezers parked outside of my room, woke me up constantly . Left me with a headache both mornings.

As with any popular location parking could be an issue, however we were lucky. The spy hole in the room door was far too high for me to use without a stool. I was surprised that there was no suitcase stand.

Very clean and quiet room which was surprising given the general noise of a very busy bar and restaurant downstairs. The staff were always helpful.

Parking was a struggle at lunchtime/check-in on a weekend but otherwise great and very convenient. There were a few drinks added to our tab that we didn't have but believe it was a genuine rable number mistake at a very busy time.

Beautiful building in a lovely location, with easy access to costal walking and twon. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and proactive. The food was great and would definitely give a shout out for how delicious the full English breakfast was!

We had heavy cases and we were not told that there were so many stairs as our room was under the eaves. Does need a lift.

A lovely hotel enhanced by being in a great location and having ev chargers on site. Fantastic fresh tasteful decor.

Lovely period property on the riverside beautifully decorated and maintained. Food was high quality and freshly cooked to order and very reasonably priced.

Nothing about the property. Only minor niggle was that on the second night a mobile freezer unit appeared and was placed almost directly underneath our bedroom windows which we had open due to the warm weather. The freezer hummed and buzzed all night which was a slight irritation. Just mentioning it in case they are able to move elsewhere away from near a bedroom window :-)

Beautiful convenient location overlooking the Severn estuary. Lovely building which was fully restored, we were told, about a year ago. We loved our room (No 4) and were blown away by the size and quality of the bathroom! HUGE bath and separate shower cubicle. Lovely double wash basins with storage underneath. All really nicely done and spotlessly clean. Special mention for Caitlin and Jess who really looked after us - nothing was too much trouble.

A sofa in the room, rather than having to lay on the bed. Also a fridge in the room would be a good idea.

The breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from but my full english was a little cold Very nice room, very nice staff. Dinner was very good.

Beautifully situated overlooking the water the building itself is architecturally very pleasing. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the gardens are just wonderful to sit in and enjoy a coffee and some time to relax.

The rooms were lovely - very comfy and we had our two children in the same room so there was plenty of space to accomodate them also. The bathroom was beautiful - loved the claw foot bath. It was very spacious.

I don't like having music playing when I'm in a restaurant. I realise I may be in the minority, but it annoys me because it interferes with conversation. The stunning views, beautiful building, tasty food and good company don't need somebody else's soundtrack. Music was even played at breakfast!

All the staff worked exceptionally hard to make our visit a success. In particular Gabriella went above and beyond to assist us. Thank you.

Ran out of soya milk. Meal order was a little mixed up but they were very busy so understandable.

No phone in the room. Lots of stairs to climb. The car park is quite big, but could do with more spaces. The restaurant is very popular and people come in from outside in car clubs and groups, so the car park can fill up, even for breakfast!

The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Everything cold was laid out on a buffet table with drinks containers for tea coffee and milk. You could order filter coffee etc. lots of pastries and cakes available, some fruit, yoghurts, bread with toaster and cereals. Hot breakfast was table service and very nice, it was just very thick sourdough bread, hard to chew. The room was at front with an excellent view of the bay…room 10 right at the top. Lovely comfy bed, we got extra pillows and although there weren’t many tea bags or milk pouches, the staff were happy to supply a jug of fresh milk and more tea bags. Decaff available. A small beach nearby was down a set of steps off the car park, a lovely stroll to a huge modern marina using lock gates, with yachts and canal boats galore. There’s a garden terrace outside the hotel and a country walk if you have good footwear. Will certainly go back again.

Everyone was friendly and patient. They knew we came from a foreign country and they helped with the local foods and local habits. The food and the view was amazing! I'm sure we will back as soon as we can.

Night time emergency arrangements non existent

Did not stay for breakfast due to Wife’s illness. Took ill previous nand 111 sent emergency ambulance which did not arrive until 4.30am. Arrangements for reception oh help and ambulance most unsatisfactory. Given the emergency the night manager was most unhelpful and worst fear realised when ambulance could not gain entry on stormy night Cool and were just caught by me as they wee about to leave. Night manager would not agree to await arrival of ambulance and did not help to put arrange a reception to ensure ambulance was given entry and ability to contact me. Fortunately I managed to stay awake and just happened to hear a noise which alerted me and I was able to open the window a little to shout and stop them leaving. The ambulance crew were excellent and dealt with our emergency but they thought the an early departure to get medical assistance near home was better than admitting my wife to hospital in Bristol which is what they would have done normally. You may call me if you want to follow this up.

Fabulous. Great room, comfy bed, very clean, tea/coffee/biscuits topped up daily. Brilliant breakfast, cooked fresh and loads of choice. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Good location less than 5 minutes walk to the marina and about 30 minutes into the town centre.
