Staff couldn’t do more to help you and make you feel welcome, really friendly atmosphere. Room a good size, clean and plenty storage. Shower ran a good pressure and hot. Breakfast was very tasty

Two rooms face onto the road and the traffic noise can be a problem sometimes. Theres not much they can do about that in all honesty.

Staff - Brenda and Fiona - very welcoming and friendly. Evening meal - excellent. Location - beside beach, nice for a walk on a sunny Wednesday in April.. PArking - handy.

My only fault with this lovely little hotel was the noise from the road outside, my partner slept like a dream but as a light sleeper I heard every lorry that passed outside, single glazing in a period property was an issue for me. We will stay again but will request a room at the back of the hotel.

We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived, hospitality was perfect & we were made to feel special on our 1 night stay. We had a lovely meal in the dining room which is cosy & tastefully decorated...The breakfast menu was fabulous, everything from a full cooked to filled rolls, fruit, yoghurt & cereals were provided. The room was spotlessly clean with tea, coffee & bottled water available.

The hotel is in a great location for the beach, harbour are and local walks and the coastal walks to next villages. The hotel is cosy and clean,we requested a sea view room and our room had lovely views towards the sea and over the beach area. The staff could not do enough for us , they were very friendly and Brenda the manager is very professional and takes time to get to know you. Our breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious.

During my visit there was a problem with the wifi meaning connection wasn't possible - and the wifi details in the room booklet are out of date. Other than that, nothing!

It's a great wee hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, and an excellent view of Cullen's stunning viaduct. Room 6 (single) is compact but more than adequate, and has a decent shower. Having a restaurant in the hotel is v handy - definitely go for the haggis pakoras!

The staff were very friendly, cheerful and welcoming to our dog. We were able to bring her into the bar area to eat both our evening meal and breakfast which was great! The food was excellent. The location was perfect for walking along the beach and on to Portknocky with very special views of the beautiful coastline.

My wife and I had an excellent three days at the Royal Oak Hotel in Cullen. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Brenda should get special mention for her attention - always ensuring our stay was up to standard (she was in charge as the hotel owner was on sick leave, and she did a grand job). The evening meal was most enjoyable as were the breakfasts. On one of the evenings we had consumed such a big lunch out with friends we asked if we could order a sandwich in preference to dinner. The chef was happy to oblige. Another bonus - outwith the hotel's control - the weather was fantastic!

It has an old Scottish traditional feel due to the layout and the limitations of the old building. This was fine for all of us but those expecting or used to more modern, may be disappointed. They have done the very best they can.

We had a very nice Evening meal and Breakfast. Great teamwork from the freindly efficient staff . Nice decor.

Unfortunately the hotel bedrooms are on the front which stands next to a main road. didn't get much sleep because of traffic noise which was unexpected later at night and early morning.

Staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Food very good. General location of hotel good. Free car parking. On the whole an enjoyable stay.
