I think I would have liked a comfy chair to sit in in the room, not just a wooden desk chair.

The staff, all of them, were great. Friendly, efficient... Good food. The eggs Benedict for breakfast was very nice! Beds very comfy.

The room was a tad chilly… and the room we had seemed to be on the interchange of all the other rooms plumbing, so that we could hear every time they ran their taps… BUT this was minor compared to how good everything else was

On the second night after the funeral we came back expecting to dine at the restaurant again. Unfortunately, there was no choice of menu as it was Steak night? The price was £32.50 pp or £60 per couple? For a one course meal in a pub we thought it was rather expensive but we had no choice but to have the meal on offer !!

The bar and restaurant were very warm and welcoming. The staff were very welcoming, too.

The cleanliness of the room could have been so much better. The fact it's an older room let me down. Needs a bit of a revamp. The location isnt the best, however the village next door is beautiful, and we just travelled to Stamford the next day, instead of paying £50 in taxis.

Dinner in the restaurant was bloody amazing, all three courses were lovely. The staff were really helpful and happy to have a conversation.The bed was so comfy and slept amazingly.

Lovely pub in a pretty village not far from Stamford. Friendly helpful staff and a really good breakfast.

More choice for the starters would have been good as I had to have the soup each night due to the fact I am allergic to prawns and not allowed too much cheese. But the choice of main meals was good, The other factor which didn't really bother us too much, was the noise in our room from the music in the bar which went on till midnight.

The Breakfast was excellent - although VERY overpriced The Dining Room is lovely and pleasure to be in . The Service was very friendly , but really efficient . I felt relaxed and appreciated . This was the best feature of this Hotel and on reflection was worth the cost of the Breakfast
