    Nothing really.

Cosy traditional relaxed pub with excellent bear good food friendly staff and locals. The open fire makes for a very nice atmosphere. Clean and comfortable room. Pleasant beer garden to the rear of the pub although it was not the best time of the year to make much use of it.

The en suite facilities were very small but for the price we paid there was little to complain about.

Very friendly staff who were helpful in every respect. The hotel is good value for money. Kington is a charming little town with very hospitable inhabitants.

The Royal Oak is located very conveniently at the end of a hard day's walking on the Offa's Dyke Path and just a short walk away from the centre of Kington. The welcome and hospitality were just outstanding. Great, freshly cooked breakfast and fantastic value.

There was a special event so the pub and garden were fairly noisy and we were unable to get dinner.

It was very peaceful in the morning. It’s a pub so don’t expect it to be quiet in the evenings; best to stay up for a drink! Friendly landlady and locals. Very characterful historic building so allow for quirky uneven floors etc. Nice breakfast.
