Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomParking was Infront of the hosts house which wasn't a problem but I thought the parking was off the road. A shame we wasn't staying for longer!!
Everything was fantastic. Great facilities, friendly host, excellent breakfast, even gluten free 🙂. The view was stunning, so quiet and relaxing. A little "GEM" in Yorkshire.

United KingdomCan't think of anything!
David and Brettle were extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to cater for a gluten free dietary requirement. The fabulous breakfast came with gluten free cereals, bread and rolls, delivered at a convenient time for us. Nothing was too much trouble and David was happy to share details about the area and suggest places to visit. There's nothing like a bit of local knowledge. The Sett itself was really quirky, but the outstanding feature was the panoramic view across the River Wharfe to the hills beyond. The deck was a fantastic place to sit with a drink and chill out, despite the drizzle. Inside it was very clean, cosy and well laid out. Facilities wise there was everything we needed and all in all it was a lovely place to spend a short break. We'll definitely be coming back.

United KingdomThe Sett is a unique place to stay, tucked away amongst the trees overlooking the river it’s a tranquil and beautiful place to stay with only the sound of Nature around. The Sett had everything we needed and more and breakfast delivered to us each morning was great. David our host was friendly, helpful and suggested a few places to eat locally. Would definitely stay again if visiting this area again.

United KingdomLiked everything.
We loved everything about The Sett. The view was beautiful over the River Wharfe to the countryside beyond. Ten minute walk into Grassington with its lovely shops, cafes and pubs. Lovely riverside walks and much more. David ,our host, was so helpful and recommended many places to visit , but couldn’t do everything in our 3 day stay. The accommodation has all you need and the huge bed was so comfy. Much appreciated were the little things such as fresh flowers, homemade flapjack and a little bowl of chocolates. Amazing breakfast every morning bought to us in a basket by David ( just lovely ). David and his wife Brettle are a great couple. We will be back.

United KingdomFabulous location and amazing views. Loved seeing deer and pheasants in the garden just outside the cabin through the floor to ceiling windows. Close proximity (walking distance) to lovely Grassington and a base for some spectacular walks and runs. Having breakfast delivered each morning felt so luxurious and it was a great spread. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked. The hosts were very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Lovely room, very clean and giant comfy bed. Microwave and fridge in kitchen area, Sky TV and good WiFi. Amazing view to wake up to aswell. Breakfast was delightful, bacon sandwich in a lovely soft roll and granola, berries, cornflakes, fruit juice etc delivered to the room. (The little squirrel will appreciate a berry or two) Great location too, 10 minute walk to the local pub and 10/12minute walk other way to Grassington. David was lovely to talk to and very helpful. Couldn't ask for anything more, thank you.

United KingdomThe short walk from the road was quite steep in places but an alternative can be used via the owner's house. Bathroom quite compact but well equipped.
Having arrived via a small housing estate, The Sett was hidden away with stunning views and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Excellent freshly prepared breakfast delivered to your door. Plenty of wildlife to watch and owls to listen to overnight. Very attentive hosts, nothing was too much bother.

United KingdomNope, can't think of anything.
The pictures do not do this place justice. The lodge is perched on a steep embankment high above the River Wharfe, and the views across the valley are stunning. We watched red kites circling above the valley through the binoculars provided by the host! The location too is excellent - a 10-minute walk into the centre of Grassington - and there are loads of really nice walks nearby. We walked to Linton Falls which we'd highly recommend. The lodge itself is really nice - clean, modern and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was terrific - you can choose from a menu of items which are delivered to your front door in a basket at a time of your choosing. David was an excellent host - friendly and welcoming. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
