Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFelt a bit run down, the double beds were 2 singles pushed together but not fixed so the beds separated throughout the night waking us up as there was nothing stopping them from moving. The TV technology pages advised there was apple play and Bluetooth connectivity, after spending about 30 minutes+ to try and get atleast one of them working we had to go down to reception who said that the Bluetooth speakers aren’t connected any more due to interference and the apply play doesn’t work either, only androids could connect. In my opinion the TVs technology pages should be updated to reflect this and save guests the frustration of trying to get them to work. We also found we could only access freeview tv despite sky sports and other premium channels/apps being mentioned as available on the TV technology pages. We also had our key cards stop working on 2 separate occasions, having to go to reception to get them replaced/reactivated and being let into our room by maintenance another time, an issue I have never had at another hotel.
Very good location, massive room with a nice view. Nicely decorated throughout.

IrelandWhile our family room on the 5th floor was more than adequate, some of the decor is looking a "little tired" at this stage. The pink colour scheme could really do with a much needed makeover at this stage.
Good central location. Had lunch in the Bastion restaurant which was very good. Also enjoyed the large number of Bill Shankly memorabilia here -fascinating and brilliantly maintained. Staff everywhere were very nice.

United KingdomWhen we arrived it felt very awkward and unwelcoming, you need photo ID on you and unfortunately I’d misplaced mine and couldn’t find it, I offered to show my bank card that I’d booked with and I had the booking email but that was not enough, I had to go through my phone and find a picture of my photo ID, luckily I had one. We booked a luxury room and it wasn’t luxury, it was nice though. A lot of the seating area in the bar downstairs was reserved. Drinks are very expensive just under £20 for 1 double vodka and lemonade and 1 double archers and lemonade. The following day we were out of our room by 10am, we left our bags at the hotel and returned at 12.15pm to collect them, we asked if we could charge our phones in the bar area due to our train tickets being on our phone and our phones being dead as the sockets in our room stopped working and was told that we couldn’t as it was a Saturday and they had reservations for the tables.
The hotel had fab decor and the room was clean, beds were comfortable and the bath was great. In house dj also was great.

United KingdomStruggled to get continuous hot water, room keys had to continually re-programmed though they did say they're supposed to be having new ones, double glazing didn't keep out the cold or noise from the road, could do with better sofa bed and more hand towels
Good location once we figured out exactly where it was, very nicely decorated, staff helpful, room was large and spacious, beds comfy apart from sofa bed which was a bit past its best, clean, good housekeeping

United KingdomRoom next door was a party room and that's fine it's what the hotel is known for. But the hotel should look at the bookings and see those that are groups and those that are with children and try to separate the two to prevent complaints etc
The room was stunning a little tired but beautiful decor. Kids loved the massive jacuzzi bath. Evening meals were very reasonable for the kids holidays and lovely as was breakfast
