Beautiful location. The view over the marshes from the room was fabulous. The roof terrace was a lovely place to sit and have a drink looking at the gorgeous view. All staff were polite, professional and helpful.

Liked everything.

Breakfast was fine. Continental and English. Good quality produce. Location is good with views of the Dee estuary from the outside balcony. Heaters at each table on the balcony keeps the evening chill away.

A really great and well maintained pub with rooms above. The food offering at dinner was excellent We had a fresh and well presented roast dinner. Loads of other mains as well. The staff were really friendly, despite it being an extremely busy Bank Holiday weekend. All of the staff we met were chatty and happy to help. The room was very clean, well presented. Teas and coffees, including decaff available in room. The breakfast was also good quality. Despite going down ten minutes before breakfast service began, the staff welcomed us, explained that the chef was still finishing kitchen prep, but offered hot drinks, cereal, and juices right away. The views across the salt marshes were amazing. A great little find. We will look forward to a return.

Don't really think there was something missing.

Me and my daughter cycled there as part of our journey to Wales. Wonderful place, very good service and just looked a bit like a Robert Stevenson book. We loved it, recharged our batteries and continued the journey.

It was all fine, Parking on-site was a bit restricted (and it gets very busy with dinner guests), but there was on-street parking too (but again, gets very busy during the day).

Room was really nice (can recommend rooms 24 and 25 - don't know about others); good size with a small lobby area and a separate, good size bathroom. View was excellent - straight out on to the marshes and coastal walks. Great for viewing birdlife (binoculars provided!).

Car park availability - can you prioritise overnight guests?

Quiet, comfortable room. Excellent quality and cleanliness. Breakfast was very nice and really well cooked. The car park can get full / too busy after 7pm. It's hard to park after this.

A great vibe on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Smiles all round despite it being busy when we arrived. The room was spotless. The bathroom was particularly well presented. I would definitely stay there again.

Would have been nice to have more slightly more comfortable chairs to sit in in the bar, for residents who don't want to sit in their rooms nor want to sit bolt upright in bar/restaurant chairs

The inability to control the temperature in our room. Lack of a lift. Being 80+ it was tedious to take our small suitcases up to our room.

Breakfast excellent. The staff were outstanding. Our bedroom was impossibly hot and every effort was made to make us comfortable. We found a penknife beside the bed!
