This was my second time staying at The Snug. It is perfectly situated ,right in the centre of Peebles. The apartment is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend The Snug for an enjoyable break in Peebles.

Both of us like to sleep on a hard bed, so unfortunately the bed was just too soft!

The local hotel was close to the bedroom and rather noisy in the evenings, to the extent that I had to sleep in the living room, which was fine as there was a day bed/ sofa available. The front door felt a bit flimsy and opened straight out into the street. It also felt a bit exposed, though there was a light curtain covering the frosted glass. It would have been nice to have had a dishwasher and kitchen towels, though there were cleaning materials and dish towels. It was also unusual not to have shower gel or shampoo available. These comments were not meant to appear overly negative though, and I definitely plan to stay there again. This is unusual for me as I like to try new places normally.

The location was curious with the fast flowing river Tweed at the bottom of the wynd and the high street at the top. It was lovely and warm with the option to adjust the temperature and open the windows for ventilation. The bedding was scrumptious with lovely locally made blankets for added comfort. There was a powerful shower though I did miss not having a bath. Plenty white towels were also available.

Bed leaves a bit to be desired .

Practical , cosy and very quiet. We felt right at home and wished we had booked it for longer. Walking back up to the flat from parked car was a bit tricky for my 83 year wife was quite a challenge.

Bed was a little bit soft for our liking but that's a personal choice. There's absolutely nothing to dislike about this apartment!

Fab little apartment in an excellent central location. It's got everything you need and it is cosy and clean! The welcome wine and caramels were a great touch. Perfect place to stay for a few days to explore Peebles or if you are attending a wedding at Neidpath castle like we were.

The Wynd is a bit grotty but that’s not the Snug's fault. Maybe the Crown needs to keep a better eye on the bins!

A very nice apartment right in the centre of Peebles. Everything needed for a great self catering experience. Shops and Restaurants all with minutes away. Thoroughly recommend The Snug.

The Snug exceeded our expectations. We previously stayed there in October 2022 and so enjoyed our stay that we revisited in April 2023 , and found the flat even better the second time around as some renovations had taken place. We found Barry the host to be very helpful and hospitable. The welcome pack was generous and gratefully received , the kitchen was well stocked , and everything was spotlessly clean. The flat has three major advantages over nearby competitors being location , uniqueness , and value for money. The location situated directly off Peebles High Street in a quiet pedestrianised location has all the advantages of having good quality restaurants , and shops close at hand , coupled with historic buildings and lovely country walks. The flat has real charm and character and is a totally different unique experience from the usual bulk standard. accommodation offered. Finally , the icing on the cake is that this experience can be purchased for a very reasonable price thereby offering excellent value for money. Recommended.

everything was lovey if I was to fault anything I’d say the day bed wasn’t the comfiest to use as a sofa and the TV is tiny.

Poor reception meaning no use of the TV without Chromecast. We bought a few dvds instead which was fine for us but may be an issue for some guests.

A superb location for a trip to Peebles. The flat is spotless and has everything you would need for a stay. Very good value for money I would highly recommend.

The only slight criticisms, unable to receive the BBC channels on the TV and a slight musty smell in the toilet. Nothing else.

Ideal location. Very good restaurants and cafes. Flat was very comfortable. The shower was excellent. The bed comfortable.
