The track to the hut is a bit rocky and steep, just take it really, really slow, it's worth it. We did it in a fiat 500.

We had an incredible anniversary weekend at the snug, beyond relaxing, the setting is absolutely incredible, and the hut has everything you could need for a simple break. Questions were always quickly answered by the hosts, and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved the views, being surrounded by greenery, and watching the animals roam around the fields. We did some food shopping on the way up to the hut, we'd planned to go out for a meal on the Saturday, but once we got up there, we didn't want to leave. Spent the whole weekend relaxing in the hut, and it was absolutely perfect. Didn't turn the TV on once, preferred looking out of the windows. Would love to come back another time, this place is good for the soul.

Absolutely everything! Cosy, warm and clean. Owners really helpful. Went for my partners 30th and helped with balloons and banners for when we arrived. Even a bottle of Prosecco. Loved waking up to the horse roaming around outside. Amazing views and really relaxing.

I couldn't get the TV to work at all, it wouldn't tune in to anything. It wasn't a big problem but might have been nice to watch a bit in the evening. It took me a while to work out how to control the heating - some instructions would be handy. The shower was tepid in the evening and the morning. Not a big deal in the scheme of things but a warm option would have been good.

Beautiful location, so peaceful with no noise from cars etc, it was a great tonic being there for a night to get some rest and relaxation. The staff were very friendly and the venue was clean, tidy, cosy and welcoming. Being on a farm and being so near the (very tame) animals was amazing too. A highlight was sitting down to breakfast with the window thrown open to reveal the gorgeous scenery. I very much enjoyed going for walks on the path winding through the property and then down the road.

All was satisfactory with the Shepherds Hut, not a bad thing to say about it, beautiful location, perfect hosts.

Location was perfect for the quiet getaway we needed. Shepherds Hut lovely and clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. Log burner was an added bonus. Hosts lovely and nothing was too much for them, will certainly be returning again, thank you David and Julie

The snug itself was clean and comfortable It had all the facilities you need Little tip take a lighter for the burner, possibly one there as it had everything else you want but I didn't find it. The scenery was amazing didn't put the TV on once Will definitely come back 😀😀😀😀😀

We struggled to find it when we arrived but that was partly because it was getting late and we had been driving for an incredibly long time. However a message to the owners and they called me immediately and helped direct us with no problems at all - they were more than happy to help us.

We absolutely loved staying here and would recommend it to our friends and would stay again. It was cute and we had our own space and we were disturbed it was lovely. The snug was clean and had everything we needed. One of the horses came to say hello which was really lovely aswell. It had lots of character and was in a great location.

It was the most picturesque place I’ve ever stayed. Everything about the snug was beautiful and perfect! Sam and Ben, the hosts, we’re so kind and friendly! As we’re their animals. We had a little visit from their horse during our anniversary breakfast and that made our day!

We had a wonderful stay at The Snug; it’s got everything you could need for a perfect weekend away. As another review mentioned, you are close(ish) to the owners property but we honestly felt like we had our own little haven… and the hosts were just brilliant at answering any questions we had too! There’s a pub that does roasts approx 30 mins walk away but The Snug has all you need if you wish to bring food and cook for yourself as well. There are some gorgeous walks around the property and it’s lovely to look out at the view (and sheep/lambs) from the tables either inside or outside the cabin. You can also travel to Snowdonia and back in a day if you fancy. As I say, comfy/ cosy property, spectacular views and a wonderful experience all round!!

there was nothing we didn’t like apart from it could do with a mirror in the living space for when u was doing your hair and makeup there is a mirror in the bathroom but would be better with one in the living space for when drying your hair etc
