Very cosy hôtel and typically British ! Very calm at that time of the year no noise by night and very good beds. The people are very kind and always helpful. The restaurant is excellent and good prices.

Bath overflow leaks, noisy bar manager outside my room at 10:15 having a very loud conversation. Not very considerate to the residents trying to sleep.

Nothing major, decor could do with a little touch up but this did not affect our enjoyment.

Felt like home away from home. Loved the little touches such as toiletries, the room was serviced every day and was very clean. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent. From the moment we arrived, a little early and also our room was upgraded, we felt very welcome. Will recommend to friends and family and hope to stay again.

Lovely building, good size room and en-suite. Comfortable bed and quality bedlinen. Good location and useful for the number 8 bus. The breakfast was amazing - a wide choice of both hot and cold food. We dined in your restaurant in the evening and the food was really good. The standard of cooking was very high. A special mention to the chef who prepared the skewered lamb - delicious and authentic. Also — possibly the same chef - the stunning presentation of the panna cotta which was worthy of a full page photograph in a high end restaurant and the taste lived up to its amazing and appetising appearance. The free live music on Friday night was a surprising bonus. The couple were great musicians and our friends from Bembridge have said they will make a point of visiting.

The person staying in room 9 felt it would have been a bit crowded for 2 people. Although fruit could have been ordered it would have been nice to see it on the buffet

The staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. As there was a problem with one of our 3 booked rooms, two of us were put in a family room (8). The twin beds in there were exceptionally comfortable, although I think the double bed looked as though the mattress was sagging a bit. The shower was large and very good. The cooked breakfast was excellent each day.

The carpet on the main stairs was a little thread bare and may need replacing in the near future. But not really a big deal.

Our room was slightly small but otherwise good.

Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Lovely full English breakfasts. A good well stocked bar open to non residents. A nice restaurant with good food.

Room would have been improved with a comfortable chair / work station and easier way to moderate the temperature. Room faced onto a road that was quite noisy in the early morning with the window open.

Snug, clean, tidy and well presented room with a comfortable double bed and large ensuite bathroom. Supper and breakfast food was very good.

A lovely welcome and I had help with my bags ,great shower then down stairs for my dinner and a glass of wine which was really so needed very tasty and well presented great night sleep in a very comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast the next day

We were welcomed by Zoe who was very welcoming. All the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly, including those in the bar area. This is our second visit and we would have no hesitation in staying again.
