Checking in was an issue - booking said could check-in 2pm. Admittedly arriving 10 minutes early but was told the room should be available in 30-45 minutes. As there is only a single receptionist the office was locked on arrival - not a problem in itself but keys hadn't been left in the secure box for self check-in and trying to then contact the receptionist took longer than it should have done.

Clean and comfortable accommodation for a one night business trip. Given the length of stay I didn't use the full extent of the facilities in the kitchen etc but it did seem very well equipped. Some furnishings showing the age but no real hardship as a result of this.

You could feel the springs in the mattress which was a little uncomfortable

Rooms were not ready 2 hours after check in time, no staff on site, had to wait 40 mins for staff to turn up for them to say none of the rooms had been cleaned yet. Given keys to the room and told we could sit in the room and wait for the cleaners to finish. Reception staff allowed 2 hour add on to check out time as room was not booked the next day.

There was no extractor fan (or broken) in the shower so it got steamed up and smells wouldn’t go. The bath was blocked up and water kept flowing up. The apartment is a bit run down and aged.

Check in was mildly confusing- the place was a bit understaffed, and it seemed Jo and the two cleaners were really over-stretched, leading to a slightly late check in. They were all excellent, friendly and efficient, but clearly needed an extra hand or two. Also, I had to call ahead to make sure they gave me parking instructions, since they were not included in my welcome email by mistake. Also, it may be a good idea to have the wifi password written somewhere in the room- we had to call the internet service number to get it.

Apartment was clean, facilities were good, everything worked and the staff were very attentive and lovely. The car parking facility was convenient, safe and easy to use, also. Loved having a dishwasher.

Excellent place to stay for 2 night work trip. So much better than a hotel. Lots of space. Full kitchen including full size oven and fridge freezer, together with microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Nice touches of mini coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. Practical stuff like washing up liquid etc means not buying anything like that. Comfy bed. Plenty of storage. Wifi was great for me to do work and even a dining room table to sit at. Plus Netflix and Prime. Emails sent re access. I arrived after reception closed and before they started but no issues getting in or checking out. Will definitely always stop here when in Birmingham

Just the brightish bedroom!

Lady at reception was very helpful. Location is perfect for the mailbox / canal area. Comfy bed, good shower, spacious. The only improvement would be blackout curtains in the bedroom as the street lights made the room brighter than normal. We will defo be back.

WiFi

All perfect except wifi. I was there on business but was unable to conduct zoom meetings so I wan't be able to return until the wifi is sorted out. Other than that it was brilliant and I would highly recommend it. Perfect location for me, incredibly clean, quiet, convenient, great kitchen. All very comfortable. Receptionist was really lovely. Will definitely visit again but ONLY IF the WIFI is improved /updated

It was stated that we would receive daily cleaning. In 4 days, our room was not visitied once. We only had 1 bath and 1 hand towel between us the whole time. We only had 2 toilet rolls also and ran out on the 2nd to last day.

When we arrived to check in we were treated poorly by the management, the man assumed we were going to cause trouble at the apartment and spoke very rudely to my husband. It felt like a racial thing when he saw my brother and husband bringing in our foods and supplies. This was disheartening since I had booked 2 days for us to have some time away before our baby comes, we were having friends over for after our baby shower dinner. It was meant to be a nice weekend but it started off so poorly that the stress of the beginning just made me tired.

The property itself was great, all the necessities are there and it’s at a great location.

I was given the wrong entry code and safe code prior to arrival and had to ring the emergency line - apparently I was given the codes for the following day, which feels like a security risk. It’s nice that they provide free Wi-Fi but it was really poor, and the phone signal on my network is also quite bad at the location, which would be a problem for more than a single overnight stay.

Apartments are right behind The Mailbox so very centrally located. My apartment was clean and comfortable.

Not that we didn't like, but maybe the sofabed even though comfortable could do with either a recover or new as a little worn. Little more milk and teabags, especially when there's 5 of you. This was just a minor detail.

Fab apartment. Clean, tidy, and comfortable. Great location. Ideal for what we needed. Good value for money. Overall, we enjoyed our stay 😊
