Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom-
Great location, lovely little village, we had a great time looking around all the shops and cardingmil valley is a 4 min drive away which is great for walking the dogs and the kiddies loved it there. The cottage was alot bigger than expected and really comfortable it had absolutely everything you could possibly need for a short break. We had a lovely, chilled, family weekend away and I would definitely recommend to others.

United KingdomArrived in the dark and struggled a bit with the key box, and also trying to get through the wrong gate, got there in the end though. The heating was broken but the hosts did what they could as soon as they could to get a plumber out and deliver some electric heaters.
Great converted stables, with a great location for the countryside (Long Mynd Valley is amazing) and a pleasant drive into Shrewsbury.

United KingdomThe access road is very narrow but I am told there is alternative parking The upstairs layout / access to bedrooms. Two fabulous bedrooms interlinked by bathroom means you need to lock two doors when using bathroom. Spiral staircase to second bedroom very steep.
A great location for accessing the Shropshire hills, you can walk from the door on to Hope Bowdler hill. Very close to church stretton. Off road parking, and a character building.

United KingdomThis is a really lovely and spacious property in a beautiful village setting. Information provided by owners was useful and helpful in finding the property, parking etc. It's peaceful, particularly at night time. The house is well equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay.

United KingdomTaps in bathroom a bit stiff, but owners dealing with it so should not be a problem in future. Coffee machine not working, again owners dealing with so should be OK in future.
Location for us was excellent. Entrance a bit difficult to navigate if you have a large car. Good Parking.

United KingdomHad to use the car as there were no pavements to safely walk into the nearest town/village. Very narrow pinch point between the main house & perimeter wall along the access to the property (this is mentioned in the details anyway). Fine for me, but not great if you are a nervous driver.
Lovely property with good facilities & everything we needed for our stay. Nice quiet location.

United KingdomA lamp in the lounge would have been nice, the lights there were either all or nothing. An inventory on the crockery, we could only find 2 large plates, and silly things missing like a bread knife and washing up liquid, we had to put the dishwasher on for a very small load.
Lovely roomy property for the 3 of us, safe, quiet and clean. Beds were comfortable and the bath looked gorgeous (although we didn’t use it). Modern kitchen and bathrooms, bedrooms were bright and airy.

Spacious cottage in a great location, light and airy with all the amenities you could need. We only stayed for one night - four ladies on a birthday weekend celebration - but this place would be ideal for a family for a week's holiday. There is lots of information for local things to do. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, they have even posted back a few items we accidentally left behind :).

United KingdomBeautiful, spacious property with very comfy beds. Stair gates on the top of the stairs in the bedroom with two single beds so absolutely ideal if you have a wandering toddler like I do! Tea and coffee provided and flapjacks made by the hosts were delicious. Private enough, but on the same estate as the hosts main house which I liked because as a single parent I panic when I’m away on my own if the location is too secluded. It felt very safe. The property is also near carding mill valley and less than a mile from local shops.

United KingdomNothing at all.
The entire accommodation was exceptional, with a well fitted, modern kitchen and a comfortable lounge and dining area. The shower downstairs was of a very high standard. The 2 bedrooms were large and spacious with a beautiful bath , wash and toilet facilities separating them. The beds were extremely comfortable and the entire accommodation was very clean throughout and tastefully decorated. The flapjack, for when we arrived, was a lovely thought.

United KingdomAbsence of patio chairs to sit outside, after a full day’s walking/exploring; twin bedroom had bedside table, whereas a small bedside cabinet or similar would have been better to store smaller items (the double bedroom had ample storage space); an OS map showing local footpaths. The above would have enhanced our enjoyable (short) stay.
Sympathetically restored farm building, with modern facilities, fixtures & fittings. There are two vehicle access points from the main road, one gated and the other an open gravel drive.
