I’ve stayed here before. It’s a converted garage so may put some people off, but it was great for my needs. It’d be a tight squeeze for more than 2 guests.

Really convenient for where I was working that week. Having kitchen facilities meant that I could make food after a very long shift and breakfast at an hour that would be too early for many hotels. The washer- dryer was a godsend too.

All drawers next to bed full of screwed up bedding so had to move some to fit in own clothes - not a big problem. As the double bed was up to the wall it was very difficult for my wife to get up in the night. Wash basin in shower/toilet room very small but needed to be due to limited space.

The novelty of how much was fitted into such a small space. Parking area just outside apartment. Well stocked up with information leaflets. Strong WiFi reception. Clean and tidy. Peaceful location with short walk to bus stop up a slight hill. Lovely shower.

Great location within walking distance of the centre and the venue I was going to, easy parking everything you required was present and spotlessly clean.

Lovely quiet canalside location and dedicated parking space, a comfortable walking distance to the city centre. Clean and well prepped, with great heating and all facilities you need are catered for, a spacious shower is a bonus. Great value, a homely change from the usual hotel offerings.

The bed was quite soft which is not to our personal taste and the sofa bed also wasn't particularly comfortable, we didn't try the camp bed. The freezer compartment in the fridge had ice blocks, presumeably from previous guests and quite a build-up of ice. You can hear every footstep from the people in the room above, and their washing machine.

I liked the set up, loung/kitchen/bedroom all in a small space without feeling cramped. There is tea and coffee, with long life milk in the fridge for when you arrive and even a small bottle of wine which was very welcome. All the instructions for appliances were clear and readily available. The toilet/shower room was clean. The window did overlook the car park but it was mirrored glass so no-one could see in during the day and it is not a through route, so not a lot of people passing by. Easy walk into Lancaster to local facilities. Excellent wifi.

I cannot imagine any way in which the accommodation and the care shown by the host could be improved. It might be possible to improve the directions to the property, however the host was very patient and helpful in giving directions on the phone.

The Staithe is a gem. The room is very well and tastefully equipped without being cluttered. It is of high quality in every way. The canal location is unusual and attractive. The car parking is very convenient. It was a treat to stay there.

No window to open when it got too warm. Patio door but you can't leave that open when you are sleeping.

The Staithe is a brilliant spot to stop over when visiting our son at uni. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. The little bottle of wine and chocolates were a nice touch. Also great location, quiet, an easy walk into Lancaster and the convenience of a parking space right outside.

Only a minor flaw was I could hear the people above walking etc on floorboards. Felt extremely close proximity. With that being said I'm still more than happy with the room.

Really liked the layout and look of the property, and had every facility I needed and more! The location was secluded and quiet, but still within a short walk of the city centre.

The bedding was quite musty smelling … damp or possibly not properly aired.

Great location - very clean and tidy. Easy to get to and very comfortable. Good amount of room - much better than a hotel or BnB.
