How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

This is not unique to the Stratford hotel but I personally dislike the low level thrum of climate control. It felt too warm in the room and it was difficult to control the temperature.
We were upgraded to a lovely suite on the top floor with a view. The room was spacious, clean with a luxurious wet room shower and bathroom.

Coffee machine tucked away couldn’t fill water dispenser broke nail trying to do so needs to be checked !
I’m general it’s a very good property good service staff amazing room service needs a bit of stars, missing glam for the price you are paying!

Quite expensive.
The hotel is in a prime location, right beside Stratford International and Westfield Stratford. The staff are all lovely and helpful. If you have any issues, they deal with it in a timely manner. Breakfast was also nice.

With breakfest I would like to have cucumber, tomatos.
Everything was very good - breakfest, beds, pillows, blankets :) Very beautiful building, near are tube and train station, very big and nice trade center.

Surcharges on drink purchases. My burger was overcooked and hard. I mentioned it to bar staff who said they would speak to the restaurant manager who then didn't acknowledge me.

A stunning hotel in a good location. The staff were amazing - I forgot an item of clothing in the room and they were quick to return it to me. The hotel was beautiful and would definitely recommend.

Little things that were missing: - seated area in bedroom with mirror and plug socket for getting ready - no tap water in bottles / decanters (you were forced to opt for the £2 bottle of water in the fridge) - the hotel has no designated area for smoking (internal or external terrace) so you have to stand in the street for a cigarette. - no optional milks provided for coffee / tea - semi skimmed UHT milk only available.
Our stay for the night was upgraded which was amazing and greatly appreciated. The room including the bathroom was huge and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep - the black out curtains (although hard to close) really did the job. The room was well air conditioned which was needed given how hot it was outside. We had room service breakfast which was lovely (they included mushrooms on my plate despite asking them not to).

The cocktails were a big disappointment.
Very stylish yet comfortable hotel. Beds the best I have slept in. For a city hotel with construction ongoing outside there was no noise inside. Great outdoor spaces. Food really good. Staff so helpful and friendly. Literally right next door to Westfield.

For the first time ever we asked to move rooms, the room we were originally given was extremely dark even with the lights on and had a small bed, I had booked a Superior double with a large double bed, very helpful receptionist sorted it quickly.
We stay here quite a lot, its a well set up hotel.

The E20 terrace and air con went of in the night so room was hot. we also got charged £27 for a vodka line and soda and a pint of beer. seemed steep? Perhaps not for a hotel?
It felt very up market but was not up market prices. Bed comfortable, good quality cotton sheets etc, comfortable pillows and correct weight duvet. Mini bar prices reasonable!!

Just a small advice for people at the reception. I understand this is your job and you probably repeat the same thing over and over again but don’t rush into the explanations, I couldn’t understand everything the lady was saying cause she spoke very fast and it was late I was pretty tired, music was just next to us so couldn’t hear perfectly either.
It was my mum’s first time in England and in London and she couldn’t believe her eyes when we arrived to the hotel. She said she felt like in the movies and series she sees on TV back in France. Plus the staff was very friendly and nice to us. The room was incredible and even if it was next to the train station it didn’t bother us. Overall we’re both very happy with the stay and I’ll recommend this hotel to people looking for a trendy and luxury hotel at a reasonable price.
