Suggest a wood shower mat as guests managed to soak the fabric version. Also a sign to guests to put shower head in the corner as it was dripping out over the edge making floor wet. Perhaps a hand towel/paper towel would be good in the bathroom if you just pop in to use the loo

Comfortable warm room, with coffee/tea making facilities. Nice view across the high street. Welcoming landlady and homely atmosphere. Assorted breakfast, perhaps continental addition for those of us watching our waistline. Conveniently situated near car parks and some interesting shops. There are some great restaurants for all tastes, Thai Basil is my favourite

Shared bathroom...the booking site does not really emphasise this well..however, the host and atmosphere made up for it and let's be fair it is a building dating back further than 1642, so lucky it was not a bucket

The host was brilliant. She was pleasant, polite and always helpful..the food was brilliant, the atmosphere was brilliant and breakfast was excellent

No ensuite bathroom. No car park.

Had a pleasant stay. Staff welcoming and helpful. Good cooked breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. but in need of a small bit of cosmetic touch up (spots of flaky paint on 350 year old walls is inevitable!). Bathrooms (not ensuite unfortunately) very clean, good shower and plenty of hot water.

Own bathroom as I did walk in on another guest on the toilet which was a bit of a shock (to both of us!)

The landlady was lovely. The pub was warm and friendly.

All rooms facing the main street and not the owner's fault but the council were doing noisy road works until 11pm and then collected glass waste at 7am.

The people were friendly and helpful. The location was great and the room clean and comfortable

Through no fault of the Swan or its owners, there was the idiotic practise from the Thornbury township, to have construction work on the street occur from the hours of 11 pm to 3 am in the morning…this again through no fault of the Swan and its owners. I would also want to say, that the scope of this construction work will have an end, and will not continue indefinitely as I understand it.

The owners were very caring and very interactive people…the age and interior of this building were amazing. I could tell that the owners and staff were committed to service and taking care of their occupants.

There was an 18th party on at the pub when we stayed. The music was loud and went on till 1am, it would have been nice to have been informed about the party prior to our stay.

Friendly staff, fantastic old pub with lots of character. Great breakfast and lovely landlady.

Ok, you have to maybe share a bathroom but 1/ you know that when you book, and 2/ they are immaculate so cleanliness is clearly important here.

Straight forward, upfront and honest accommodation. Very clean, amazing value, staff were fab, right in the middle of town, and they serve a great pint too! Lovely breakfast….it appeared within minutes of being ordered.

Cannot really find anything to fault. En-suite bathrooms are apparently planned, subject to planning permission.

V nice historic coaching inn. Room was very clean and well equipped. The separate bathrooms (As advertised) were v clean and the shower powerful. The staff and the dog were friendly and the owners very hospitable. Evening meal was good pub food and good value. The included breakfast was very good. Overall amazing value. Car parking is a minor issue but the T1 bus (every 20 mins) gives you easy access to Bristol and at £2 who can complain.

I really would have preferred an en suite. I understand that it is a listed building but even a sink in the room would have been useful. The bed was not very supportive for my back, unfortunately.

I met the owner Sandra over breakfast and the food and her company made my stay.
